I think it would be bad since almost all would be doing private instances and no one would use the public instances which would be counter to aq3d's mission which is emphasis on party play

I mentioned an instance limit though ... either way this might be less of an issue with more servers I guess

But what would be the instance limit though? Without accurate data all we can do is guess

I suppose ... but I'm sure they have the data and can discern the right values to use

Exactly. The average player count at any given time is usually around 200 players, so there already aren't many people playing old releases. If party instances were introduced, they would make the game seem more dead than it already is which isn't a good thing. I would wait until there are more players playing AQ3D.

Not everyone would be in favor of limits. Whether it's inventory space limit, dungeon key limit, room limit, and so on, the intention would still be to limit the player in one way or another. Players like to have more freedom.

Agree with this.. the word "limit" itself sounds negative in this context

There was a time though that if you were a bit late in hitting mobs you wouldnt be eligible for loot... But i guess they removed it

It's not really an issue. If players leech, what's really the issue? Sure, you may be close to dying in battle and then a player can decide to attack before you die, but I don't think that's too much of an issue. Monsters will always attack the player doing the most damage. Even in group battles, certain players may lose in a battle, so it's not really a big deal.

Now I think a solution would be to reward the loot to every player who attacked the monster, even if that player died and couldn't make it back. This could change the game tremendously in a good or a bad way, but it's a consideration of what could prevent issues like dying in battle and not being able to get loot because of that.

Since its not an issue ... as you've mentioned several times ... yes ... just ignore them ... if you were driven to infantile sarcasm, then note the following.

In my opinion, you have the option to switch servers or even try to switch instances to try to avoid leechers. I have also suggested that the game allow us to create our own instances - which would also help avoid leechers.

However, my best advise about leechers is note who they are so that you ensure they will also be left out of raids, etc.

You could also start a leecher list - though that has its own issues.

This is why i do runs with my friends, instead of going to public instances.

Well, you might find friends through public dungeons and then you will just run dungeons with them, if those friendships actually happen that is.

Im kinda indifferent about it, if it doesn't get anyone killed then it doesn't bother me. I think the only time i've leeched was back when you needed a group to take down Gathmor i would sometimes stay on the sideline till he got midway health
