    i went into survival mode, remembered my spawn point, made tools from trees then started digging straight down from my spawn point and i found diamonds that way

    Probably about an hour, if I spend a lot of time mining underground, though I'd probably craft a diamond pickaxe first for Obsidian, so maybe 2 hours for a diamond sword.

    I will usually get Diamond Sword way after getting Diamond Pickaxe. I guess it would take some time because i am after other materials too besides diamonds. I usually don't rush to get diamonds and instead i will get myself iron, gold and etc.
