  1. I’d say MMORPGs are becoming stagnant, especially newer ones, since they’re being overshadowed by many other genres and an explosion of other new games. MMORPGs used to be type of games that would impress people, opening them up to a brand new gaming experience, but the expectations have dwindled since games like WoW, TERA, and other popular MMORPGs have established themselves for years now. People are generally looking for games that divert to newer experiences; it used to be MMORPGs that dominated the industry in mid 2000s to the late 2000s, then it was MOBAs that dominated the early 2010s, then it was Battle Royale that dominated the late 2010s and early 2020s.
