Game Description and Comments
Ashen Empires is a fantasy MMORPG that focuses on game depth and support rather than eye candy. You won’t find great graphics like you will in major MMORPGs such as World of Warcraft or Everquest 2 but you will find a MMO with more of a personal touch than those games. Whether providing customer support issuing updates or interacting with players Ashen Empires’ development team allows the depth of the game to shine. A great deal of that depth revolves around the freedom of AE’s skill system. Instead of getting crafting and combat skills just one way or limiting skills to certain professions you have the freedom to choose what skills you want to develop. This freedom is a very important aspect of an MMO because it allows you to construct the character the way that you want to without being told to follow a certain path created by someone else’s vision of what your character should be.

Comment: I have played AE since the old days when it was Dransik (started more than 2 years ago) and I must say that it’s THE best MMORPG game I’ve ever played. Yes it has simple 2D graphics but the game play and community more than make up for it.
The newest updates (DemonSpire and Talazar’s Revenge) have really breathed new life into the game. It’s run by a great group of people who really care about the game and where it’s heading. They provide excellent customer service as well as actually logging into the game on occasion to interact with the community.
There is a PVP and non-PVP server so you can play in whatever way suits you. Come check it out!

Comment: As the old saying goes don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Ashen may look simple based on the 2D graphics but it more than makes up for any visual shortcomings with rich details in game play. Multi-layered skills advance creature AI dozens and dozens of quests and a great community make Ashen Empires a much better play than most MMORPG. When you get tired of the empty head behind the pretty face of those other games come play a real MMORPG.
Oh and the new expansion pack Talazar’s Revenge makes it even better!
Pricing Model
Ashen Empires offers a free play system that is quite different from most online games. Instead of offering just a free area or free play up to a certain level AE offers a combination of the two. The free part of the game has an overall character level cap of 10 and a skill level cap of 15 on one large island named Valinor. To put this in perspective it should take an average of 10 to 15 hours of playing to reach level 10 and there are around 20 skills that you can max out up to level 15. Maxing out each skill should take about 8 hours so there is plenty of game play to be had without paying a nickel. To make the gaming value even greater you can have up to 4 characters on each of the game’s 2 servers.

I didn’t like this game after first look,after playing it for a while,i liked it a lot,on start,it seems like easy,but it isn’t that simple,try it out 🙂
Seems good, although this MMORPG does have point-and-click gameplay akin to a lot of isometric MMOs. Game does have elements of sandbox and crafting, so that’s kind of nice. You can also play one of three difference races (human, night elf, orc) which does kind of emphasize the fantasy theme of this game. Game lacks quest tracking though, so that’s really the main downside. But overall, I’d rate this game a 4/5; seems pretty decent.
