Wow, i can only say that this game is old like a bible. I have played this game in 2005, when i was a kid. That game was pretty much awesome thosedays. I remember playing it it was so cool, i was a fan of strategy games, i have played every strategy game then. Age of empire is a strategy game that you need to evolve. You start from a stone age, and u finish in future, robots airplanes. The goal in this game is to kill opponent, if u are playing campain then u need to finish the mission. You dont need a good pc for this, it can work on any pc. In this game you need to make resources to produse army who you will lead in battle to destroy enemy village. In stone age you will lead clubbers to fight, in modern age you will send robots and aircrafts to fight for you. It is a pretty easy game, it is fun at beggining but it can become booring. In game you dont know where your opponent is you need to find him, its not like hes miles away just some cool thing added to think about. I dont know what to say for this game any more, nice game for those days, i give a solid 6 rate. It has really bad graphics and sound quality. |

Comment: The graphics of
Age of Empires was improved with
each success release. From
the original release to the
second, Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings, are worthy improvements gained praise from critic. The release of Age of Mythology the praise continued, and its fourth release, Age of Empires III, do it even more. It was praised of the improved graphics in the next release, Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings. It was also welcomed its introduction of female villagers as compared with the original for both sex version. It was also praised praised the advanced grouping
systems in the second release of the game. Even the improved graphics, the other people complained that units in Age of Empires II: The Age of Kings were at times difficult to
distinguish from one another, many reviewers agreed on. But,anothe company wrote that the second
release was the best looking
of the 2D RTS games. The graphics continued to
improve in some games and was praised by a majority
of reviewers. Many people that the graphics was awesome. It also rating the graphics a 9 out of 10. Some company and PC Gamer stated the that the graphics in the third
release “are packed with detail.” The trend in improved
graphics continued well into
the next release, Age of Empires III, much to the delight of reviewers. Some people stated that, “After seeing the
screenshots, our jaws hit the
floor at the amount of detail.” some website described Age of Empires III as “one of the most beautiful games you
will put on your computer for the foreseeable future. Another company also agreed, stating, “Age III’s graphics are
unmatched in the strategy genre.” Age of Empires III builds on and introduces new
features to the prior release. The innovative result is that pre-
created animations are avoided, instead events are
calculated according to the
physics engine. Consequently
views of events like building
destruction and tree felling
are not recorded. It is also admired the graphics in the fourth release
but complained about “the awkward unit behavior.” Other graphical features of
the game include bloom
lighting and support for pixel shader 3.0. Some awarded Age of Empires III the “Best Graphics” award at GameSpy’s “Game of the Year 2005.” |

Comment: Age of Empires places you on a map in an unexplored world, provides a few starting units, and lets you begin building an empire…the whole thing gets tedious, its pretty much build units, get resources, attack other villages….rinse and repeat |

Comment: Classic RTS game with some funny cheats, AoE might not be for all, but for those who are classic rts fanboys at heart, AoE will be one of those games that you love. Its unique way of playing will require skill and some quick hotkeys to succeed, and many of the campaign missions are almost impossible unless you have a good eye for strategy.
This game will challenge you for a good while even after you have finished it. You still have to play online 🙂
AoE has a dying community. Only one site that I know of actually hosts a server for playing this game online and there is only an average of 20 people playing at any one time, which is a real shame.
If you like classic RTS gameplay, where you control one man as a unit and want to learn the basics of hotkeys, play AoE. If you want a thriving online community and some new gameplay, go get AoE 2. But this game is truly a classic that noone should take for granted. |

A classic game. I have no objection with saying that this is the second best strategy game I have played since Civ2. Awesome game play, great AI, great sound, very addictive and I could go on and on.
An excellent RTS game that was one of the best game I tried when I was younger.
Loved the feature you can involve each time you upgrade to other age ( you start from stone age).
Classic RTS to try out if you didnt yet.
One of oldest and most popular games at the time, because it is old, graphic is rly bad. Gameplay is good but nothing special. Atm, there are so much better rts games, so i wouldn’t bother with this one
One of most legend strategy game.Gameplaying is really good, graphic,is it old, which everyone should expect, this game is from 1997/1998… so 🙂
But if you are retro gamer, try this for sure
Age of Empires is an cool but old real time strategy video game,it has interesting gameplay where you have to develop and consolidate your empire
Cool and really enjoyable game which can always be playable.Old game but still, old but gold.I’ll recommend this game to everybody, try it.
The game isnt that good but they have already improved in AOE 2 and 3 but this one was their very first the graphics is not good imo but still packs a huge punch 3/5
Considered the father of the strategy games, being reference to the classic ones this game is a complete adventure on the history hearts when talking about the old wards. 3/5
Very old game, but easily one of the most popular RTS of the 90s and rivals strategy games like Civilization pretty well. I don’t really see myself playing Age of Empires considering it is over 20 years old now, so the game hasn’t really aged well, but I do like the theme behind this game, where you’re advancing through different parts of civilization from stone age to iron age. I think the game is best for nostalgia, so if you really want to play Age of Empires, I think “Age of Empires: Definitive Edition” is the way to go. But overall, I’d rate this game a 4/5; game just doesn’t live up today, but it is praiseworthy for what it achieved decades ago.
