After over 5 months of play I finally got blue roses in AC:NL yesterday and of all days for it to happen it was on my birthday! Was an awesome present after trying to get them for so long now. Only thing better would of been getting two of them so I could breed them but hey I'll take it!

I've been playing a lot of Ark lately, even though many would say I'm doing it wrong not playing on a server I'm having a blast with splitscreen co-op. The game is brutal at times, the default settings are WAY to slow and even bumping them up you still see areas where it's just nuts. Most of these are designed with tribes in mind so I'm not complaining per-say, it's working as intended but just saying in terms of a low player count or lone wolfing it, some things are extremely expensive for how easy they are to lose. It does create a need for survival though... you aren't just rushing into things, forced to think more because if you don't it can easily go south an flush hours down the drain.

Overall even while "doing it wrong" I'm really enjoying it. For me it's the closest a game has come to the traditional Minecraft experience. You know the game about gathering and crafting... the increasing risk with each level of tools. That danger feeling when you get your first diamond pick and then go mining with it. Ark's building is no where near Minecraft obviously, nor it's world destruction but it still does both of them decently. I particularly like the amount of stuff to make and how they mesh together, it has a good amount of freedom in building to mix and match, making this and that into something else so it's not all set stuff. It's no creative sandbox but it works.

Online is a whole different story. It's a completely different animal. It's mostly PvP focused but some PvE does exist. I hear it works very well for what it is but it of course has many of the pit falls that live in most PvP games... like ganking, cheating, some toxic behaviors etc etc. It's a shame people are like that. However, you can host your own server with friends or whitelisted people, which can easily fix all that and leave a very competitive PvPvE match up with epic battles.

I think I could recommend it to both PvE and PvP players, I'd say it definitely favors PvP especially online but I think if you just wanna drop yourself onto an island and have a go on your own I think you can do that too. I will say for singleplayer people definitely do your homework first, it's more designed for online PvP or even online PvE somewhat and it does seem to be the focus so don't expect much in the way of changes that benefit your style.

PS. This game has rather insane requirements on PC. Not all that optimized either... very much active development. Game does still look very good though. They've also had a few patches break things. I think any very serious server would probably better off waiting for release.

Points sent I really think Overwatch should of been F2P or hit that $15-20 Counter-Strike price... I think ultimately it will land on one of them but I guess we'll see. Curious to see how the game turns out, especially a few months down the road.

To everyone (sorry for using you as an example TheRedLight). I will note this is really pushing the bare minimum. Try to shoot for two sentences at least. Will let shorter ones pass unless they become a habit then will have to start denying them.
