    Before I bought a good comp, I was playing Minecraft PE. There once I was capturing creepers. I had like 50 of them, and only one wrong step and BOOOOOOM!

    There was nothing in radius of 150 blocks. xD

    Is a lot of mods to improve textures and lighting, it will always be blocky though as that's the only way it works. Looking at all the other games that try the same without blocks just doesn't work.

    Think Stardew Valley takes a lot of what Minecraft does and puts a better wrapper on it to make it have more meaning. Think this is why it has sold a million copies in just two months:). I even bought it with it not on sale lol.

    Honestly I don't see it. They are completely different games to me. Maybe that's a testament to how open Minecraft is.

    SDV ties everything together better. You actually do run a farm and social interactions do matter where as Minecraft allows just straight building without really "living" in what you make.

    I can agree in some areas but I still think they are vastly different games. Minecraft is a open world survival game. Stardew is a farming social sim. They share similarities but I just can't agree they are that similar because I think someone going in SDV expecting Minecraft will be disappointed and like wise someone from SDV going to Minecraft expecting will be disappointed. They are similar but the core focus is different.

    As someone that has built entire farms, heck I even did it on a server I do know Minecraft does have some farm elements but it's what you make them to be in vanilla. It'll never be on par with Stardew's. Just like Stardew will never match the openness, building and sheer freedom Minecraft offers. You wont see MMOs (at least ones completely different than Stardew itself) made out of Stardew... it just doesn't offer that. It's not suppose too.

    Edit - After playing some more I can see more where you're coming from. It does have some Minecraft moments.

    We will agree that they are different games:).

    There is a multiplayer component planned for SDV. They just didn't want to delay the single player component by working on it. I can see it being more like the Realm Online (my first MMORPG) than any modern ones.

    Yup, I haven't put a ton of time into it yet though. Was/am playing Story of Seasons on 3ds... these games go so well on a handheld. The multiplayer aspect is intriguing. Says 4-player co-op, wonder if that'll be online or local only... never know these days, though usually it's online. Honestly hope it's both.
