Nooo! Don't use a vacuum cleaner, that is dangerous. Vacuum's can produce static that can then discharge and destroy components of your computer. A hair dryer on the other hand can be ok as long as it's not really hot air and you keep it somewhat back... that said some hair dryers do produce static as well so do at your own risk. Hair dryers generally don't have the concentrated power to clean really well either.

I do not know how to clean your computer, maybe it's a good idea to use a vacuum cleaner. I for my lap top got cooler but that did not help.

Hey guys what do you use on cleaning your PC/Laptop? I use Compressed air to blow out the dust in my CPU or laptop even in keyboard but first i open it up.

How about you guys? what methods do you use cleaning your gadgets?

A piece of cloth, air from the electric fan, and cotton candy.

    Threads merged.

Like's been said previous in this thread, compressed air is the way to go. Do not use a vacuum unless it's cordless! Always unplug and remove battery, then hold power button for a few seconds to remove all energy if opening the computer... even if just removing the side door to clean. When cleaning do not touch anything inside the case unless you know what you are doing. You can damage parts just by touching them through static from your body.

If all else fails, at least using compress air can on the vents every once and while will still do wonders but obviously opening the PC itself is a lot more effective.
