    For me, the shocking news I remembered hearing was that Pluto was no longer a planet back in 2006. Everyone in my class went crazy over that, especially since Pluto as a planet had been ingrained into everyone's mind for a long time. I was even gullible to believe that astronauts destroyed the planet Pluto, when I heard that Pluto was no longer a planet.

    The most shocking news for me as a kid was in 2006 when I learned my cousin was in school during a school shooting. It's the same college I attend now.
