[AQ3D] TLAPD (Talk Like a Pirate Day) Discussion

I think it'll be great. I was hoping for a naval commander like the concept art that Dage drew 2 years ago, but it seems like there will be some kind of new, blue naval commander instead with a different model than Alpha Pirate. I have heard possibilities of a parrot cape, but Dage said that it would have to be modeled and animated. The only thing that doesn't please me as much is the color of the hook and anchor, which throws off the color scheme.

 

What does TLAPD mean? :r

 

It means Talk Like a Pirate Day, And it'll be here September 18th, IF it has the same release date as AQW

I was disheartened that it was not red, but I still really like the way it looks.
I'll just have to hold out for a red Long Coat in the future I suppose

 

Oh i see . so that's what it means. I was so curious about this AQW talk of TLaPD

 

Dage showed on his twitter the naval commander set (that just looks like a blue alpha pirate, sadly not much armor diversity in the game) but also said there will be at least another new set. I think the "event" will be only a shop, most items will probably cost DC, kinda like the April Fools Shop.

 

I kinda like the naval set it's blue and pretty neat.

 

AE has Talk Like a Pirate day on their other games so it isn't really surprising to see it appear in AQ3D as well.
I would mind wearing a pirate hat during it even though i don't really speak pirate.

Dage really has been doing good job with that upcoming pirate outfit i can't wait to wear it during TLaPD!
But it really depends how we are able to get them anyway. If we need to pay DCs for them then i am out unfortunately considering i rather prefer crafting but i wonder how AE implements it then.

i hope we get the normal pirate class in the next year tlapd as we will probably not get a pirate themed area any soon.

 

Isn't TLaPD on the 19th of September?
Also there's still the possibility of a Red Naval set since Thyton is/was also working on one but didn't post any sneak peeks

I hope the set doesnt cost more than 2k DCs as a whole :x
I'm still pissed by legion chrono keystaff :/
