Are you good using melee weapons in shooters?

Melee weapons will get you killed in a shooter unless you know exactly what you are doing.

 

I know how to use one check my pics and check out my kill streak

 

Better with ranged stuff like a bow in an rpg. so long as you can strafe anyway...something like diablo/drakensang/torchlight it makes it a little bit of a pain

 

call me crazy i prefer shooting in a shooter!

 

sometimes cause you fail against ranged weapons if you use melee, and on Wolfenstein knife vs knife went very well.

 

For me, it depends on the game. There are games where melee is simply too hard to use, or it doesn't give any advantage over using a gun.

There are games though, like S4 League, in which melee weapons have their own uses and I tend to use them effectively when I need to.

Using a knife as weapon don't give me more kills than with a gun though.

 

I'm pretty average when it comes to melee weapons. I wouldn't say I'm the best at using melee weapons, but I do prefer guns over melee weapons.

Yes?... I mean.. I use my slippers.. Fan, or anything beside me as a melee weapon when im enraged :3

I like playing as long ranged. but with melee, i guess i am okay

 

I prefer shooting, usually I'm just not quick enough with the timing for melee weapons. Unless I'm in back of the guy and he doesn't see me there.

 

Definitely. There are various variables to consider for how great you are with melee weapons. The first variable to consider is the weapon itself, then the enemy or target, and then the game since melee weapons can be different for every game. There really is some dependency.

I feel like many players would feel more comfortable with ranged weapons than melee weapons. Not really too surprising though, especially for any shooter.

 

Based on my past experience with MMOs, typically melee weapons require some skills.
