    Yeah there's some similar sentiments here. Especially if you were a AQ or DF player in 2008 seeing AE release their first MMORPG, only this time it's a 3D game

    When I first joined, I thought that this game was confusing and simplistic (I joined during the early Tech Demo with the original Battleon).

    The first thing I thought was just wow, let's explore everything, this was during the tech demo when basically all you could do was use a class skill or hack and slash. I was so excited, because I played the original aq for 10yrs+ now and was there on the first night aqw's went live, so it was a hype for me.
