    I say yes to all requests, I mean who cares anyway? I don't want to be one of those people that rejects someone, so I say yes to all requests but then I don't really care, I'm more of a lone ranger, so I don't really check my friends list except for on rare occasions.

    That, or finding a way around the cap like by entering a server from another server and adding a player that way when the game doesn't know what state your friends list is in. Not a lot of people are vocal in the community about wanting more friends, probably because of ways to manipulate the cap that's well-known to many players.
