Phobias and other mental conditions

Is apathy a mental condtion?

 

Afraid of unsettling images... like a drumstick. Why? Because it was actually a chicken nugget that looked like a drumstick. More than half a foot long. Yeah.

 

I have phobias too, but I'm trying to overcome my phobia by trying desensitization. It's an exposure therapy where you exposed yourself to the source of your anxiety slowly until you get used to it.

 

I wouldn't say I have any phobia, just certain distastes to certain things like small creatures roaming around in my house or things you wouldn't expect on an everyday occasion.

 

i don't have irrational fears, but i do get the creeps from rationalizing my own and those around me's security

 

I'm very very scared of spiders. And I may have minor OCD but probably not.

 

I find it awkward, when a spider just stays where it's at for a long time and you want it to move away from you. But generally, spiders don't bother you, and I usually just leave them alone.

But one thing I find odd is that people can be afraid of spiders, but not crabs, even though they share similar physical characteristics. I've never seen anyone really explain their phobia, like why they may fear something.
