Why do you keep farming gold? What is your goal?

It's already fixed, but most people discovered how broken gold farming was when they were ranking up their classes. Now, people would have to farm at Epic Yettun dungeon for decent gold and XP.

 

I am aware that it got fixed but really, how in the world did that went past testing that devs and testers did? Why would you farm something awful as Epic Yettun dungeons for XP and gold? Gold isn't a concern but XP is. I am sure that there are better places to farm to get class ranks up compared to that place.

I haven't ever had to farm gold yet, purchased Ebon Talon pieces and still around 2 mil.

I'm not sure. One of the custom weapon kick starters said something about a version of his weapon being released for 10m gold. But that obviously hasn't happened yet and I haven't heard any other news about that.

 

Holy crap . If that happens Gg I can't get my hands on that weapon

 

LeL i remember fly2sky from the closed-beta days a real farmer if i dare say always at skulltower bridge farming for those lousy golds......ah those were THE days

 

I farm gold for competition xp

 

It was a competition from Sly to whoever could farm 10 million gold in-game, and those who did got a variant of his weapon. He canceled the competition shortly after Sneegoll farming was a thing, and there might or might not be any plans to release a public version of the weapon for 10 million gold.

 

Sneegoll farming, what a mess that turned into. Speaking of gold farming, pretty much all gold farming involving mob grinding got nerfed with the class system release so gold farming has went back to crafting material farming again just like during Ashfall part 2 period. All gold focused daily quests are also more preferable to do because of this nerf.

 

Ah rip, too bad that ended.

Nah. Selling craft materials is boring (and it's tedious since you have to deal with inventory management), and you could probably get around 100-110k gold per hour using gold boosts in the Epic Yettun dungeon just by defeating monsters there WHILE farming for ranks, which is half as good as Party Sneevil farming. It's far better than killing monsters for gold in other maps. Farming for XP is tedious in places like Lolosia unless you're ranking up range classes, so I'd say Epic Yettun dungeon is the definitive place to farm so long as you have a full party.

 

It's not really a consistent place to farm as you said. It's a seasonal dungeon and thus it's not available all the time, you need a full party which is not going happen all the time, not everyone has DCs to get gold boosts, RNG to get them off daily treasure chests or just willingness to spend DCs on a temporary gold boost. Inventory management can be an issue but that is resolved by going for crafting items with either decent sellback and a big stack limit or high sellback value but not that big stack limit. You have to sell them eventually to get that gold. There are other places to farm for class ranks which are less party dependent if you look for them hard enough. Selling crafting materials is boring? It's pretty consistent just like mob grinding if you are farming for reliable crafting materials.

 

One of my friends is still trying to farm gold alot. I don't know why he does it.

 

It's nice to have millions of gold lol .. Reason is for show off ? Or they just want to be ready in the future expensive items .

 

Probably to be ready for future items. You can't really show off your gold unless you take a screenshot.

 

If they use discord and then that server have a badge for highest golds or reward AP ?

 

There's a discord server for AQ3D (I don't know the name of it) that does give out a badge for getting 10m gold if you have a screenshot and that's it what I am aware, no AP rewards or anything like it. That badge is just for that discord server, not for AQ3D itself.
