China likes to have their own things and not let their citizens use things like it which are made outside of China.

 

Not sure why anyone should offer APs for you reaching high amounts of gold, and it's not easy tracking who has the highest amount of gold anyway since there are many players who farm in the game. Also people could send fake screenshots on Discord and gold farming is already easy as ever, so it's not really worth it.

 

Gold is useful when level caps are raised and higher level gear comes out. Gotta replace all your current gear for higher leveled ones and that usually takes quite a bit of materials and gold.

To pass time? For bragging rights? Whatever the reason, some players will just go for it even for heck of it.

 

VPNs are sometimes quite iffy and are illegal even though everyone still uses them. I just don't because I can get by without them.
