Soooooo I jinxed it... two of the worst losses of the season after this post. RIP. Least F1 is coming and a billion miles of Sebring. Should be a fun weekend.

My first full day back in Linux has been really solid. A few quirks but oddly a few things that I really didn't expect have run better under Linux. For example, American Truck Simulator actually runs better at 4k under Linux than it does Windows on this PC. On one video service I use the video is actually more stable with fewer hitches and frame drops... it's very odd. My experience with Linux video streaming in the past has been positive but with some screen tearing... never better than the Windows experience.

I'm definitely enjoying the much-improved boot times and some overall PC speed. Windows is solid for me once it gets going but restarts are horrible, always have to add an addition 5 to 10 minutes before the computer is completely settled after boot. A reinstall would help a lot but that's a massive pain.

I'll see how it goes from here. The nice thing about dual booting is it's easy enough to go back whenever but I am hoping I won't run into anything major as time goes on.

Well I will be going on a trip today. I leave tonight at around 6:00 PM and my flight is at 9:00 PM. I will be back late on Friday and in total I will be having four flights in one week. I am more or less scared of flying for some reason. I will be traveling to Hong Kong for a short little vacation with a few of my family members. Wish me luck!

Watched a whole lotta racing this weekend, mostly out of I didn't feel well enough to do much else but also because it's awesome. It was maybe a bit too much though lol. The F1 race last night capped it off and it was solid, unfortunately, Australia isn't a great track so most of the race was a bit of a train but it did have some good surprises and it was nice to see where teams are stacking up. The next track should lead to a much more action-packed race.

As for the two Sebring races. They were great, good racing to the end. Both had rain through a wrench into them, which is always fun. Watching long races like these are kinda hard but I'm always amazed how well they all stay on pace with each other so the racing stays relevant. Also seen the rocket launch in the background during the Saturday race, which was cool that the broadcaster was on that and made it a part of the race.

Overall a fun weekend of racing!

Next weekend I will have a trip to amusement park with my two little warriors and my wife. Since my first little warrior is kinda "special", I need to prepare extra thing for him especially his medicines. I am worried but also excited to see them playing around. I hope everything will be fine.

Nintendo had a Nindies Showcase today. I haven't had time to watch it but it seems the headline was Cuphead! Which is a fantastic but very challenging platformer. Looks like a nice group of games, nice to see. They are also holding an indie game sale on the eshop right now, tho I find the deals a bit underwhelming, to be honest.

Epic also snatched up some more exclusives for it's Store. Headlines are The Outer Worlds, Control and Quantic Dreams previously Playstation exclusive trio of Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Souls and Detroit Become Human. In addition to them is I think 16 other games, though they are more niche. Epic Games Store has so many problems and this exclusivity stuff just sucks. It's a shame too because Steam does need a competitor and Epic definitely seems to have the money to make that happen but this is just not how you go about that. Time will tell I guess.

I've been playing a lot of Motorsports Manager Switch. It's based on the mobile version which admittedly isn't up to the PC in terms of depth and strategy but honestly, I think the simplicity works in its favor. You get the core gameplay you want but without the spreadsheet planning. Perfect for pick up and play even on the go. The mobile game is basically the same game and assuming the microtransactions aren't bad I'd definitely recommend it too, it's $4 on mobile.

Rumor has it Microsoft was the driving force behind getting Cuphead on Switch. Very interesting. Cuphead was previously rumored along with Ori and xCloud. xCloud is still a stretch but with Cuphead turning out true it definitely gives it more credibility and makes Ori seem very very likely. Both are really good platformers, Cuphead is really hard. Ori has some challenge to it as well but I managed to beat it and I'm not exactly good at these... it did take a lot of time and patience though.

It's a beautiful weekend. I spent most of my time with my lil'family at amusement park. Thank goodness nothing bad happened so I dont need to take out the medicine. Running around the amusement park with them reminds me how nostalgic it is when I went there too with my pa and ma long long ago...

The Indycar race today was solid. Not super exciting imo but it did make history by breaking the record for the youngest winner ever. Even that was kinda diminished though by the leader for most of the race breaking down combined with a caution putting the driver in first. He definitely earned it and deserved it on pace but it was also clear he probably wouldn't have without both them things happening in the way they did. That's part of racing though, I'm sure he'll win many more too.

Apple is gonna announce its long in the works streaming service next week. Not much is known about it at the moment, the rumors are all over the place. It will be interesting to see what Apple can put together. Along them lines, Disney just closed its deal to buy most of Fox, which included 30% of Hulu. They now own 60% and are looking for more. They will also launch a Disney branded service at some point this year. We should also find out soon what is going to happen to the Fox Sports RSNs. Disney has to sell them and while it shouldn't change much in the short term, long term it could be a massive change that will affect a lot of NBA, MLB and NHL teams.
