AQ3D Pickup Loot Button

How do you feel about this upcoming Pickup Loot Button?

  1. I've been awaiting this feature for a long while!

  2. I rather not have such a feature.

    That will surely happen but I doubt even everything would get replaced if we did get a 26 epic set, Legion Heretic Armor would still be BiS for armor when health builds are considered (also just overall really) and the fact how AE puts stats to their items so this grind is not a complete waste of time. How is it a bad thing to loot a plenty of loot bags after killing packs of mobs? Most items we are going to loot are stackable so we won't just fill our inventory THAT easily. Nothing is stopping us from just looting those bags one by one even though we can area loot now.

    I am not really sure if AE can release level cap upgrade that fast. But I think bloody set is already fine enough to cover your character against mobs and some bosses while waiting for heretic set to be done. Hell, my alt just use fallen guardian set for a whole time and it's fine lmao.

    And yes, with many people grinding the heretic material you will find it harder to secure some grind spot especially since loot button implementation, you can just do killing spree non-stop and later loot the item with the button.
     
  3. Looting all at once is good for the players looting the items, but bad for the players who can't loot at all because the other players are killing monsters all at once before looting. With good comes bad, and vice-versa. Nothing's completely perfect, and I don't think the "looting all at once" is the fault of the loot button addition, but more of a problem with the lack of features or proper implementation of features in the game. There are a lot of flaws in the game that have yet to be addressed, which is probably why the game is still in Beta.

    Yeah, players nuking all the mobs just causes you to lose potential loot which can be frustrating at times. You need to get aggro on a monster to get loot from them and that can be done by hitting it or healing someone that is fighting it. Guardian is pretty good at getting aggro with that heal skill which I do utilize for that very reason time to time. We still got a long way to got before live release so these features can get refined and polished.

    I did as well, I didn't know I would need them in the future and I felt that the daily quests were only worth it for the gold.

    So if someone hit a mob and I heal that person, can I get the kill without touch that mob?

    Yes, you will get credit to get loot when the mob gets defeated if you healed someone who was fighting it and took it down.
     
  8. Always best to not assume everything. I do think that AE reusing that same daily quest for new gear feels monotonous to the gameplay. Would have preferred new daily quests that reward Souls, Essences, and Flames instead, or even new materials for that matter. I'd rather not play through the same daily quests that I've played a year ago, personally. It's the very thing that gives "grinding" a bad connotation.

    Or AE could have made Underworld Essences/Flames more common from normal Underworld mobs and made bosses drop more of them. It still takes time even if you could get something each time.

    Yeah it would have been nice to have new quests but I think the arena was a nice little unique update. I just wish there was more added to the story.

    Idk, why but I guess AE now more likely to release grinding thing rather than story thing. Like arena of souls and newest isle of dead, little absurd story and more grinding for doom weapon...

    Where is the good story? I miss ashfall story and darkovia story, both of them are good -_-" dont tell me that they fired storyteller guy accidentally....

    Yeah it really sucks. Hopefully they will do more but I can understand a lack of story lines right now because they are trying to pump out as much content as they can.

    many players complain with isle of dead release content as well. The map is good, its big, wide, and imaginative. What it lacks is good story, new monster, and more gears...

    I haven't actually been able to log in and see the update yet. For some reason my wifi doesn't seem to want to connect to the game.
     
  15. Certainly feels that way. You kill the same monsters over and over again and pick up their drops, and then use those drops to craft for items. To make things worse, random spawns or long monster wait times make grinding horrible. It's ad nauseam. I already felt how painful the grind was doing the Necro staff quests in yesterday's release, especially farming for the shards from the green monsters. The loot pickup button doesn't change anything (at least in a massive scale) about the grinding, even if it's beneficial to a little extent. I would just want more story-related content, or one of those "short and sweet" releases that captures story in as much brevity as gameplay can handle... but really, the main issue is that AE keeps pushing for weekly releases to add filler content.

    The way AE implemented this Doom Staff grind feels like how they did with Crimson Staff of the Abyss. It's easier to get but it's feels like a waste of time. You will level up pretty fast so it's even worth it unlike how the situation was with Crimson Staff of the Abyss, it was BiS weapon when it was released and it held that position for quite a while. That doom staff is more about the looks really so if that's what you want, go for it!

    some said that doom weapon will be upgradeable in the future, I hope its true or those players who worked hard to obtain it will only get false hope. Unfortunately the devs didnt say anything yet about the future of doom weapon.

    The thing is, the Doomwood area is set at a lower level so the doom weps must be fairly easy to get for the low levels in the area who want a max stat wep. It is not really for us maxed out players unless we want it for the looks which is why they made the final upgrade with animations. I wouldn't put it past AE however to make the staff a requirement for a future doom wep such as the Necrotic Sword of Doom if they do release that.

    I kinda had the same idea about it too. Doom weapons are from Dragonfable and you can upgrade them there so I expect them to be upgradeable in AQ3D too.

    yeah, if doom weapon is based from DF it will be upgradeable in future.
    I guess I gonna grind for it slowly if I have a free time :d better than doing nothing at yulgar
