Advice to New Players - Ogre Wars Manual - Tips

Well, it can be a shock if you think you are out of range and you are attacked.

From my point of view, there was no chaos at the during the last campaign. I think the only adjustment we made was when you sold a lot of defense and bought offense and you became a higher priority target.

I think the complexity comes in when you have to deal with people rather than just the mathematics, e.g. diplomacy.

 

We spent a lot of time in the Ironheads/Steelskulls learning to work with each other. That was very rewarding.

 

My retirement from Ogre Wars is almost complete. I can barely follow the game without being a player and my forum, the Civilization Gaming Network has exploded with activity since I left Ogre Wars.

For months, Ogre Wars was a time consuming passion as I worked to develop new tactics (Fractricidal tactics was my crowning achievement), but I realized that I had to leave.

The posts at the beginning of this thread was an attempt to create closure for myself. I've come back occasionally to see if there has been questions, but I expect my visits will become less and less frequent.

Thank you to everybody that I played with, regardless of which team you were on.
