Morph or Mount ? (AQ3D)

    AE seems to be just careful because AQ3D is their biggest game on mobile. They definitely can go for more for sure but they want to go with an easier option.

    I'm actually surprised that mobile isn't super laggy. It runs quite well for me and I don't have the best phone.

    It reminds me a game where you can change setting so all players except you become naked um I mean their equipment become basic one, and only your character that look awesome. It helps a lot to reduce the lag, but yeah you cant tell your friend apart because they all look same except their name lol
     
  4. Or have some sort of rendering where if players are at a certain distance, their character won't appear. There is certainly a downside, like if there's a crowd of players all in one place, but for entities like monsters and NPCs, it'll help a bit. There's usually always a solution to anything. The real limit is computational power, which I don't think is the real issue with why AE can't add mounts. 3D games have had solutions to a lot of things since the 90s, especially with the hardware that was around back then. 3D games have aged and so has technology. All I can think of is that they're probably worried about the research and resources needed to implement mounts since they want to push the game Live as soon as they can.

    Let's hope AE is not overly eager to rush AQ3D live because things might get very messy.

  7. Combat form is on their Game Plan. I hope they stop generically calling every form "travel form" though (as some forms like the Bush form isn't meant for travel, and players generally use forms for looks than travel), especially if they're going to add forms that are unique to combat.

    From the wording "Combat in Travel Form (new kind of form -Cysero)," it sounds like they'll stick to calling forms/morphs/transformations as travel forms, even if its purpose is for combat. It would just make more sense to give the parent naming as just "form" and create a child category called "combat form". In fact, people are already making up subcategories like "rider morphs/forms/pseudo-mounts" for forms with a mount-like appearance, "creatures" for dragons, wolves, animal-like creatures, and other terminologies.

    It's easier to generalize. It would be interesting to see combat forms but they shouldn't have the 160% speed though.

    isnt it neat if we have it when darkovia final release coming out? Combat form with vampire or werewolf form, but you cant choose both :d

    Like in how it works in AQ where you have to find the cure to switch to another form after being cured.

    I mean, they already have the wereboar form so it wouldn't be too hard to make a werewolf form, right?

    Their models are rigged pretty much the same way so I suppose not.

    Just maybe make a new head or something for it. They could totally just take the model of the werewolves and turn it into a form lol.

    I mean it's the easiest thing and it would look totally fine. It would be cool to have a different walking animation that looks more like running though.

    There are walking animations in game. Like walking animation for players exists but it's unused but some human enemies do use it when they patrol. Most commonly used moving animation is running so I want to see more walking animations and definitely a hotkey to switch from running to walking and vise-versa.

    Yeah I know, but what I'm talking about is the wereboar form has a walking animation but it goes quite fast, so I think that if they do a werewolf form they should do a running animation instead so that it looks more realistic.

    So it's not realistic for them to walk? Those werewolves are going to get tired from all that running.

    No I'm talking about the forms. The form speed is always 160% so the speed can't go down so it would be more fitting if the form would run instead of walk and move super speedily. The ogre form has a good running animation.

    It can go down if you get slowed and I bet we could slow it if we could switch between walking and running.
