Yeah! Unfortunately, it is not perfect, with certain ambiguous questions (Great Grave showing still available in umbral caves rare chest, Midah's Curse not showing up on Drooster)

They usually take a week to fully update the wiki but it is still the best place to get AQ3D info.

Needs more active admins/players who update it. Maybe I’ll contribute a little :)

  7. I think you're missing the point. Anyone can edit the Wiki, just like how anyone can edit Wikipedia. The point of having anyone be able to edit is to increase the effectiveness of adding pages to the Wiki since staff members cannot handle everything. You also have to keep in mind that the Wiki is moderated, so anything that breaks the Wiki rules will be removed or reverted and the user will be punished. The Wiki is still trustworthy, though there are some things that are out-of-date; if Wiki members are willing to update the Wiki, they can. Where else are you going to obtain information, if not the AQ3D Wiki? The Wikia is dead, and the AQConnect project was abandoned.

What do you mean by "Great Grave showing still available in umbral caves rare chest"? The weapon itself says it drops from the Dage Birthday event and the monster's page has it tagged as rare. Now I believe the monster's page hasn't been fully updated with old information archived, because that page is still missing the monster's new stats. Anything out of date will be archived eventually; if anyone can update the new stats of the Rare Doomwood Chests, then an archive page can be added. As for Midas' Curse appearing on the Drooster's page, there's no confirmation that the item actually drops. If any player can confirm that it drops, then it'll be added, but it's only been second source information (which could or could not be a joke) which is why it's not on there yet.

Do keep in mind that members and admins contribute to the Wiki on whatever spare time they have. I agree that there should be more activity on the Wiki, but that's up to people's choice of whether they want to contribute or not. It's not mandatory for every AQ3D player to contribute to the Wiki.

I know that anyone can edit the wiki and I'm one of the victims who wasted their time knowing that the Tree drops Necromancer Hood but turned out to be a troll. Trolls have been gone too far already and I barely use wiki since I prefer playthrough experienced. Don't get me wrong I never hated AQ3D Wiki but still I prefer the spreadsheet, I'm aware that without the Official wiki there will be no spreadsheet at all. What pissed me off is that when the troll happened on the wiki no one in the wiki staff made a move to fix those troll edits and instead they waited for someone to complain(*Thanks to fainal for letting the community know about the wiki edits.) Spreadsheet is way more organized for me.

  9. Well I don't think people, even staff members, knew whether it was fake or not initially, which is why it wasn't reverted to begin with, but it actually make sense since Necromancer's Hood is associated with the Doomwood saga, not the Darkovia saga. The Wiki trusts that players who edit pages on the Wiki are honest (and follow the rule), and there will be punishments for troll edits.

A little tip I can give you is to check who edited the page and look at their karma level to see if they're trustworthy or not. No Wiki is perfect, but it's always safe to check if the editor is credible.

You can mix the two wiki's around, they both have stuff the other doesn't have

It's useful to look up information from different releases.

The wiki is pretty slow for me but it is very useful.

  16. Not much encouragement for Wiki assistance over the past months. The editors who dedicated their time are already burned out. Sure getting information is slow, but it'll probably never be 100% complete.

Already? Are you certain of that or are you making assumptions? From what I have seen, the editing progress itself isn't that hard to go trough but it certainly can get time consuming. The motivation does seem low however when looking at the time it takes get new content added to the wiki compared to AQW wiki, but that is just a bit unfair comparison isn't it?

I don't mean that they are slow to update, I mean that the site loads slowly for me. It's because my net is so totally slow.
