More details about Disney's new streaming service, Disney+, was revealed today. It will be launching in Q1 2020 (starts Oct. 2019) for NA and some parts of Europe and Asia. No price yet but they confirmed it will be ad-free. Downloading for offline play and profiles will be supported. Content will include a lot of Disney classics as well as original content. Content seems to be centred around Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic. New movies will hit the service after the usual theatre run... I'm hoping that means right around the same time it goes up for rent. 4k support is confirmed.

From what we've heard in the past, sounds like content won't exceed PG-13. The rest of Disney's content, especially a lot of Fox stuff they just purchased will be heading to Hulu... which Disney sees as the platform for the more "mature" content they own. Disney is considering offering a bundled subscription, along with another including ESPN+.

Disney has big plans for this service and certainly a lot of content to feed it. It's pretty annoying having all these services but least Disney is taking this seriously. The $6.99 price is crazy good too.

Well Pistons got destroyed in the first game of the playoffs... losing wasn't unexpected but dang, it was so bad... I really didn't think it could be THAT bad. Hopefully, they can put up a better fight in the rest of the games, everyone is finally watching and they look like a laughing stock

F1 race was solid though pretty uneventful. No one could break the chain, each car just ran in position... except Ferrari, who classic Ferrari messed up on strategy and ultimately hurt themselves lol. Baku should be much better, last year was really good. It's a tight city track so slim margins for mistakes.

Not much in the way of gaming news, aside from Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. The teaser looked great but sadly no gameplay. Will release Nov. 15, 2019, so I'm sure we'll get a lot more at E3.

Bought My Time At Portia on Switch, I wasn't gonna do it but am glad I did. In terms of a port I'd say it's solid, the graphics definitely took a hit. Performance is actually pretty solid so far but it does have big frame drops during certain actions, nothing that hurts gameplay though. The load times getting into the game are absolutely awful too, worse than any other platform. Once it game it's pretty quick though. They also cut ambient sounds... as someone who hasn't played the other version to know what all that entails, I can't say it feels like it's missing.

I can't say a whole lot about the game itself as I only have a few hours in but I do like playing it on the Switch, it feels great in handheld mode. One thing I don't like is that the rest of the PC content won't be available for at least a few weeks. An voice overs were cut from all console versions.

Nintendo surprised everyone last night with a Smash direct of sorts, announcing Smash 3.0 with new features and that Joker, the first DLC character, is releasing today. Sadly it did not include a Persona 5 Switch announcement. Next week "Persona 5 S" details are supposed to be released so maybe we'll see then.

New rumor suggests a new Rocksteady DC Comics game called Outlaws. If true it should be announced this Friday. However... we've had so many Rocksteady rumors that I'm not sure what to believe anymore.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 on Switch in the US comes with Final Fantasy X on the cart and X-2 as a download code. This isn't the case in Asia and Japan, which is really annoying but thankfully you can import that version and still play in English. Worse is despite X-2 being a separate download code it can't be played without the X cart, this seems very silly as in almost every other sense it's a completely separate game... taking up real space on your SD card. The worst of both worlds.

I really hate this trend with Switch games, clearly it's not a technical hurdle and in this case Square was even willing to eat the cost in other markets but because they know they can get away with it here, we get the worst version. Is it too much to ask for physical games to be playable solely off the cart?

Persona 5 S has finally been revealed, it's coming to PS4 and Switch and... it's a dynasty warriors game. Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers.



Gotta be said it's kinda weird we are getting a spinoff for a game that's not even on Switch but they've done it before with Xbox 360 too. I really wish Atlus would end it's Sony romance and release Persona on other platforms, as far as I know, there is no deal... it's only PlayStation exclusive because Atlus wants it to be.

Disappointment aside, I do like warriors games so I'm definitely interested in this. I'm unsure if it's been confirmed to be coming West yet.

Pokemon is apparently going to get a new pokemon app soon called Pokemon Pass. Not much is known about it right now but It was leaked via promo material that told people to download the app and scan the QR code for a Shiny Pikachu or Shiny Eevee in Let's Go. The other poster said to scan for a Detective Pikachu Pysduck Sticker... whatever that means. Whatever the case we'll know soon, both posters said the offer starts May 11th.

Sinclair apparently has a deal to buy Disney's Fox Sports RSNs. According to the WSJ the deal could be announced tomorrow. I can't say I'm a big fan, of all the potential buyers they seem to be the one most set in the traditional TV model. Under them, we may not see any real change in how RSNs are delivered... which I think is a massive mistake as people start to move away from cable. I hope I'm wrong and I hope when they announce it they reveal a bit about what they plan to do with them.

May Forza Monthly is coming on the 7th. So far they've announced a few topics, FM7 Indycar Month, Motorsport Concept Development, FH4 Series 9 Updates, and a interview with Indycar driver Conor Daly. Playground Games also confirmed no news on the 2nd Horizon expansion in this stream.

Soooo to me it seems Forza 7 will be getting an Indycar expansion, I'm not sure they'd bother bringing on a real driver if they are just updating the cars. Motorsport Concept Development... could be a looked at Forza 8's engine? I don't think 8 is slated for this year anymore so I suppose it'd make sense, it'll probably be a launch title on the new console next year.

Indycar expansion would be pretty cool, also hoping for an IMSA expansion at some point before 8.

Played some Wargroove off Xbox Game Pass an its pretty much what I expected. I think my only nag so far would be the lack of voice acting, they do a weird in-between with some words and noises but not completely. It's understandable given it's an indie game but I think it would've made the game better. I really wanted the game on Switch and I still think that is the ideal platform to play it on but it looks fine on the big screen. I really like the art style.
