Do you like the crafting system of AQ3D?

    AE needs to get to improving it when their priorities allow it. Also, when claim items from it after claiming a few items, things get messy because items change places and there are empty spots and some items won't even show up if you got a lot of them stored there. To fix it just reopen the crafting tab and even so such a bug shouldn't exist in the first place.

    I had to wait 2 days for that brutal head morph which was crazy long. Im fine with 10 min of crafting time but 2 hours is way too much.
    Im always tempted to useDCs to speed up but Im saving those for UFO travel form :p

    Its OK but sometimes you have to wait way too long...
     
  6. 2 hours for one item isn't too bad; it's easy to have the patience for that... but when you need to use that crafted reward to craft another item, then I can see where that could be frustrating. Daily boss craft rewards are like that, but they're not too bad since it takes a while to farm everything you need to craft the other iteration of the exact same craft reward (with better stats). The Empowered NecroStaff of Doom still remains the most frustrating to craft though.

    Leaving items in the crafting menu was also a strat I used during alpha and the first mogloween event. That was a nice strat where you could get the items but without using them until you had more space. Thanks to this, I have my mogloween items with the tag 2016.

    Its kinda cool, but some items need a hard-to-get materials. That's the annoying part, but that's what makes the game more fun and awesome :D

    It's not really worth it to spend DCs to speed up the crafting. I honestly would like to see that feature be removed.
     
  11. You could easily earn 24 DCs from watching 12 ads, so if it's 20 DCs to speed up crafting, it might not be as bad. I just wouldn't recommend spending 20 DCs to speed up something that takes one hour to craft; 20 DCs to speed up for an item that takes 6 hours would make more sense. If you have to spend more than 100 DCs on speeding up crafting, then it isn't worth it. Unfortunately, I don't think the game is that generous when it comes to crafting, so I wouldn't recommend spending any DC on crafting.

    I "could" if I had a phone or a tablet that runs AQ3D, but I don't have such luxury that is required to watch those ads. I have never skipped crafting timers because it simply isn't worth it. The whole system of crafting timer skipping should be removed just like dungeons keys were. Spending 20 dollars worth of DCs to skip a timer is horrible value and that did unfortunately happen and that shouldn't be a thing that can happen.
     
  13. The only real purpose it serves is monetization to support the maintenance of the game, despite that the feature is already poorly perceived by the majority of players. Let's say that AQWorlds was an ambitious 3D project (which it isn't)... I'm sure AE would have scrapped merge shops in favor of craft shops where there's a timer, if that was the case, so they can maximize profits the best they can. Personally, I don't think it's fun having to wait at all, whether it'd be waiting for a boss, waiting for an item, or waiting for anything. If I'm playing a game, I want to play, not wait. Otherwise, it just feels discouraging to even play the game at all. I'd support any indie game company, but not if they choose terrible decisions that discourages gameplay or if they choose deceptive cash grab methods.

    Convenience sells. I hope AE will change the crafting system and make it so crafting timers wouldn't be a thing no more. Trade skills could be the beginning to it.
     
  15. Trading itself would solve most of the inconvenience to grinding... people would trade tons of gold for crafting material since many people have gold ranging in the millions. I don't think AE would remove craft times because of it, but I think it'll at least make the grind less obnoxious. Or even better, having the ability to spend tons of gold to speed up crafting instead of spending DCs. I wouldn't mind spending 10,000 gold to speed up an hour worth of crafting. Gold feels so pointless that they ought implement more venues of spending it. Like don't make us spend 500,000 gold on items where there's are alternate versions (level 10, 12, 14, etc.) with mediocre stats like the level 27 Arena Duelist Sword, which sounds outright ridiculous, but actually implement better uses for spending gold.

    I am all up for the idea of spending gold to speed up the crafting time instead of using DCs because it would be another gold sink and we do need those. Trading would indeed make grinding more bearable by giving you an option to trade to get materials instead of getting them yourself with gold and/or other items.
     
  17. I wonder if 10k gold to speed up an hour of crafting would be too much; gold is obtained at a slow rate for new players. Maybe if the idea was implemented, the amount of gold you spend to speed up crafting would be proportionate to the level of the item you're trying to craft up to a certain point (maybe 10k is the max for speeding up one hour). For instance, a level 1 item that takes 1 hour to craft requires 1,000 gold to speed up, a level 10 for the same hour requires 5,000, and level 20+ requires 10,000. Or maybe it should depend on difficulty of obtaining the item instead of the level of the item; the more difficult it is to gather craft materials for an item, the higher the price to speed up crafting.

    It's certainly something that needs to be balanced. AE would need to find the middle ground between the players that just play the game and the players whose main focus is to farm gold. The rarity of an item should definitely be a factor when making a gold cost for crafting time skipping so uncommon item has a cheaper crafting timer skip cost compared to awesome rarity item.

    For me i really like the crafting system of AQ3D because i can only save them in my crafting and only to preserve them, and it has a good attribute because of it will be less hassle to go in every map where you craft the items instead you will just open the mainmenu of the game and select the crafting so you can able to claim the stuff that you craft and it really help me and the other free players to just save the seasonal crafting like the Defender set’s becasue in case like mine i dint claim my craft items i only used the drop items to save my space of inventory and also to my 2 vaults! I just hope that they also make the CRAFTING in the mainmenu like in the inventory that you can able to choose like if you only want the helms you will just select the helms slot, armor slots and belt/ boots ect. Because when in opening my craftings its so laggy and it is so hard to scroll down to seek for the item that you want to claim :)

    I like The crafting system in aq3d because atleast you can just stock crafted items in crafting menu. And wait for the right time to use them. And also saves space in vaults or inventory.
