I recommend maNga. They are a foreign group but still; they have awesome music in English! What music band would you like to see in the game next? And why?

I want to see Korin and the bag bois hit the stage. It's what I have been waiting for so long.

  3. Personally, I don't really care too much for music bands in video games, especially if it includes a lot of singing. I want to play games for their objectives, not listen to music inside of the game while waiting for waves of monsters to appear, which is how these music events have been so far. And in a lot of cases, I'd much rather play my own playlist of songs while playing a game than actually listen to in-game music. The only time I'd listen to music inside of the game is if it included its own ambience or actually fit the theme of the game (things like chiptune music in a retro game, Minecraft ambience music, fighting music in fighting games, etc.).

I also think introducing too many bands in-game makes concert events less special. In less than a year, I think there has already been 3 band concerts, though I haven't really kept track. I'd much rather see AE focus on building their game to involve better content than to see them working on sponsorships with music artists.

Yes, continuing the main content should be first priority for devs. Still, it is really fun for me to hang out with my friends on the battle concert arena.

  5. You could hang out with players in many places, especially in Yulgar's Inn. The main issue with concerts is that it's not really practical to hang out with other players there, because there's just too much going on (too many monsters, game slows down because of animations and other effects, and sometimes the room your friend is in is full depending on the server). And aside from that, some players will leave the concert to go to Yulgar's Inn just because they don't enjoy the repetitiveness of grinding in the concert.

The other annoying thing about concerts is that after the concert ends, you get kicked out of the room into Battleon, and you have to manually go back to the concert to start the next event. To me, concerts just feel like they're incomplete.

Yes, you have a point. Also so many of the people focuse on farming items, so it is not as fun as Yulgar's Inn.

Anything that isn’t a bloody rock n roll band or heavy metal bring another genre to the table maybe a 70s event night fever plus they could make some good customisable items from a 70s event, plus they won’t need any approval as it’s just 70s fever music.

Yeah, I'd say mix it up with some chill stuff too... Actually, I'd love to see someone like Bjork or Sia. They have wonderful energy, and are slightly strange characters which makes for cool item possibilities!

  10. I think it's unlikely to see any mainstream bands or artists collaborating for small indie game companies, just because there won't be much drastic change in the audience; and mainstream bands/artists tend to benefit more from live tours than small in-game events anyway. A better mutualistic relationship would be for a small band/artist to collaborate with a small indie game company, just because both can benefit on an equal playing field.

Though I agree with this in general, I wouldn't consider Bjork mainstream. And also, Bjork is the type of artist that would embrace something such as this. And though Sia is (currently) someone mainstream, she is also the type of artist to embrace creativity and artistic style/talent/efforts. So I wouldn't count them out!

  12. I think it depends on certain circumstances; usually music artists follow where the money goes, so if it benefits them greatly to sign a deal with a game company (where they can benefit substantially), then it might be worth it to them. But we're talking about an indie game with not as many players and isn't as well-known to the billions of humans on Earth, not a game like Fortnite that's had a few artist cameos. There are more popular games that these music artists could have a cameo in and have more audience. And I think there other factors that I'm not aware of to consider, but I'm not a music artist, so I wouldn't know their procedures for how they collaborate with other people.

I know people are saying no more rock/heavy metal but I would like to see slipknot make an appearance. They have an awesome look that would be great so see made in to in game gear.
    Just my 2 cents.

Why do all the bands featured in battle concerts have to be hardcore/metal bands? I would like to see some diversity too.
A band I would like to see is MuteMath. Their music is interesting but not really heavy. I know most players wouldn't be into this genre and would think it is lame. But, since this topic addresses what I would want then this is it.
