Material for house

You can used any .. I tried using dirt before lmao.

 

I try to use every material. But quartz is one of my least favorites because I think it's overused.

 

Stone house would be cool and strong and it can avoid being burn up!

 

I feel like cobblestone houses are overdone, mainly because of convenience. Sure, they aren't going to burn, but I think, if the player isn't time-crunched, they could be a little more creative. The different stone block variants aren't crafted as commonly, and I think they make houses pop more. The thing I would avoid for certain is building houses out of diorite, andesite, gravel, and the other bad-looking blocks.

I also think it depends on terrain. In a jungle biome, it's sort of hard to build a stone house, and sometimes it's more fitting to build to tree base or something. I tend to see stone houses more commonly in desert biomes, and it makes sense why, because people don't want to dig and create an underground base because of falling sand. I think building houses according to the biome you're in is a lot nicer... for instance, building a house in a desert biome out of sandstone.

 

if i'm playing in multiplayer mode i prefer obsidian. It is highly resistant to explosions.

 

Sure, but it's not entirely resistant to other players griefing (e.g. people could just mine obsidian with their pickaxe). And I think most multiplayer servers ban TNT anyway, so you don't have to worry about block choices most of the time.

Personally when I play multiplayer survival, I just build my area where it's most secluded (i.e. The Nether) and keep note of the coordinates. I'm not really worried about players destroying my area with beds in the Nether, but it is a hassle jumping to the Nether from the Overworld, especially if portals keep getting moved around.

 

Obsidian is not required for players to troll. At least it will appear stronger than a dirt (Eye glamor for those trying survival mode). Although it is fragile, it will take a longer process than others. But i like nether idea very effective and useful. It is acceptable even though I do not like the nether's habitat, except for the terrifying sounds and explosive bombs.

 

Well the other point is that obsidian's not all about protecting your building. In some multiplayer servers, obsidian is banned just because it can be used to grief (e.g. block off entrances to buildings, create obscene structures that are hard to remove, etc.).

 

You may be telling the truth about this subject, I haven't seen anything on other servers before.
