uhm GFX=graphics right...? I might as well join though im not much a signature maker myself, i learn by visuals so i take your guy's ideas and use em to my advantage. then add my own alteration =o

uhm and ya ur right the border killed it, text seems...out of order. shadowing/lighting seems like u took a photograph =p (just saying)

though..im more into signatures atm i do occasionally attempt avatars. =p

 

try a different angle. i dont think that one worked so well =p

 

u had the right idea w/ the bottom right corner i think. hold on ill show ya what i mean w/ a half-assed version lol

 

Vocal on your example I would have used a black border.
Might have changed it abit, not sure. but I like it
