Fallen Sword is a Fantasy browser MMORPG that plays a lot like a traditional client based MMORPG, but with some limitations of course, as the game runs entirely on a browser. Think of it as a mix between Adventure Quest Worlds and Kingdom of Loathing, as it has the Adventure Quest Worlds like exploration with the limited daily ‘adventures’ of Kingdom of Loathing.

All newcomers must start off by registering through the main website before they can access the actual ‘world’ itself. Unlike most other MMORPG’s, it is not required that the player select a server to connect to, as they will automatically be redirected to their account panel and first impressions are always important when deciding on a suitable browser game, and an artistic collage surrounding the registration panel helps ensure that players will not be disappointed with the in-game artwork. I was quite impressed with the effort in which the game creators put into the collage, and this left me with a positive feeling about the game even before I had even signed up.

For a browser game, Fallen Sword definitely holds potential. Although it is entertaining enough to keep a player occupied for hours, the repetitive nature of the navigation system and the lack of animated graphics may turn some players off after some time. Fallen Sword is still a fun browser MMORPG well worth checking out, but it’s no Runescape.

This game has devolved into a PvP only game. Those that declare otherwise are deluding themselves and likely lying as well. Except for the PvP Ladder -- where players have to opt in to participate -- all other PvPing is unrestricted and any player can hit any other player -- steal their gold, an have them lose levels -- there is no way to avoid PvPing. There are even game rewards encouraging this. The "fixes" designed to give non-PvPing players a way to "get back" don't work as PvPers have found every way to manipulate the system in their favor. The game encourages in-game bullying -- especially in the forums -- where the PvP players either don't have a clue or are so immersed in their delusional thoughts that a rational conversation cannot be had. I have played the game for some time, but have grown tired of the BS and have wandered away from it. And, it is true -- the in-game active player counter shows less than 1000 active players at any given time -- with fewer than 600 not uncommon.

Although I really don't like PvP only games, I have to admit that the graphics are nice. I'll give this a try, thanks for the recommendation.

+1 to all that..... but it has got worse....

New PvP rules came into force today and they are totally unworkable, how about now that you can be hit by players 100+ levels above you every 3 minutes and you can't even place a bounty on them any more and there is no way to defend against players of that level.

315 players on line at present and the servers are still laggy.

If there was an opt out for the PvP rhe rest of the game wouldn't be so bad. But the PvP isn't real PvP as you pick yout targets from a screen and don't have to be in the same location as them... hell, you don't even have to be on the same area map or world map and you can even hit them when they are logged off, it really is just bully heaven. Couldn't recomend it to anyone appart from cyber bullies. It's a total PoS.

I have a ~lvl250 character. Nice game, gets kind of repetitive after some time and i found myself having wish to play with 0 stamina and then sitting on full for days not bothering to farm. Still i like to come back to it from time to time when i'm bored. There are more ways to play the game depending on what you enjoy so give it a shot and shoot me a PM if you need any help or something
