TQ Digital Entertainment officially began the open beta for its newest addition, Absolute Force Online on the 19th of December, 2012 (PST: 17:00), No activation is required, there is no IP restrictions, and is available worldwide. There have already been announcements regarding bug fixes, new maps, Christmas themed items, and many more features to be available in future updates. TQ Digital welcomes all players to experience the excitement of AFO, and celebrate the Christmas Season with the AFO community.

During the past few days, questions regarding the release have piled up in the team's inbox, and they are very pleased to finally welcome the community into the open beta. The server status bar told the tale, going from green to red within a few of minutes of operation. Once the server was back open, there were large numbers of games being played, filled with frenzied mercs that were armed and ready for war!

The Christmas season is knocking on the door, and AFO has many Christmas items on hand, ready to lift your holiday spirit! Special customized Christmas outfits and weapons will be released on December 22nd, and available for players of all levels, while the use of Christmas trees on the battlefield brings out a true spirit of Christmas.

A new challenger has appeared in the fantasy MMO arena today in the form of GBE Games and Aurora Interactive's newly announced import, The Aurora World. This is the first we've heard of The Aurora World (though it apparently already has a following in China and Korea), so we don't have a ton in the way of information at the moment. We do, however, have some preliminary details and an announcement trailer.


The game's press release, which announces that the game is aiming for an "early 2013" launch, claims that the game will boast eight different professions "with their own unique specializations and master system," plus "an extensive PvE experience with entertaining daily quests, events and crafting" and "a robust PvP system" including 300-player nation wars, clan wars, and a "coliseum mode." There's also mention of "a unique hybrid pet/mount system known as Majinns," though all we know about that is that it exists. To help you catch up with the whole thing, I should firstly tell you the story: The War Z launched on steam days ago, which was still in beta, although it was not marked as such. A number of features
was listed on the list, but players later found that those features being listed was actually not in the game. As a rusult, the interwebs went into full torch-and-pitchfork mode. In order to settle down this case, the game's developer wherein the studio who misread information about game features apologized to all players. Now, the game has been removed from the steam.



But what does Dean Hall, creator of the similarly named ARMA II: Combined Ops mod DayZ, have to say about all of this? Not much, apparently, but in a post on the DayZ subreddit, he revealed that he has "been pretty depressed about the whole situation." He also confides that the entire debacle caused him to "seriously consider" whether he wanted to be involved in the game industry at all. Thankfully for the many DayZ fans, he hasn't thrown in the towel and development on DayZ continues. Whether this is the end of the whole The War Z debacle or just the beginning, however, remains to be seen.

 

Have you been hankering for an ancient Chinese holiday gift? If you do, here ia a good news for you: Age of Wushu is dropping a lovely sandbox down some of your chimneys, as it have started its second closed beta test. According to Snail Games' saying, pre-purchased players will receive the benefits from their elite and deluxe versions of the game shortly after logging in. If you did pre-order the $19.99 priced Deluxe Edition, you'll have access to the full unrestricted beta until it ends without the before-mentioned caps. Additionally, Deluxe Edition players will also have access to special offline events and giveaways.

As announced earlier this month, the second beta is open to everyone with a few restrictions. Those that haven't opted in for the pre-order will be limited to 10 hours of unrestricted play with up to 60 minutes of additional gameplay each day after the limit is met.If you're interested in giving it a whirl without pre-purchasing, all you need to do is register for a limited trial.

 

The last lore entry of The Elder Scrolls Online demands you to read between the lines just a little bit. The entry is straightforward enough On its surface, which provides players with a chance to peek at reigning queen of the Aldmeri Dominion. Although Ayrenn the Unforeseen Queen is just another one of the Alliance leaders, truth is that the entry is written in the style of an in-game document allowing for some additional hints to be dropped along the way.


In the official documents, Ayrenn is nothing more or less than the culmination of tradition, a perfectly prepared queen to lead the High Elves. But it becomes clear from the story that this is a queen who left her tradition behind for quite some time until she decided to return, a woman more than willing to break the rules to obtain what she wants. Take a look at the full entry and get ready to bend your knee to the queen in the game, since she may very well bend it for you otherwise.
