(speaking strictly as a member of the community)

    Ok Constructive Criticism,

It's not vary clear what exact these "GMs" can and will do. It's also not clear how you apply... what information should be sent etc. You mention somethings but in my opinion it needs to be more clearly laid out.

    Comments on Rules

#1. - If the rule can be broken then it should not be a rule.
#2. - If your looking for "mature" people then your post needs to be more "mature" itself, lack of basic English like capitalization and using words like bull **** isn't vary professional or really all that "mature" in my opinion. English not being the primary language is understood but basic stuff shouldn't be missed, again in my opinion.

    Concerns

"All applications Must be pm'd to me for evaluation." - Purely as a member of the Forum I'm not sure I like someone who's been here less than a month controlling something that at least appears to have a large impact going forward.

"We are looking for mature trustful people" - How does one determine this? I'm a little concerned at having one person deciding this and no offense to Hamr someone that has been here less than a month at that.

"telling us your name and why you would like to become an GM,Basic things will have to be told your name, age and then just a few things about yourself" - It's not a bad idea however if it were me I'm not sure I want to be telling someone this information when I don't know them.

Who is picking these GMs? Is Ogreman involved?

    Suggestions

    An actual application
Drop the age limit - If exceptions exist then the rule is pointless.
Try to clean up the post
Bullet point exactly what a GM will do

I am also pretty surprised that someone that have been here less then a month is taking care of this all by yourself. Shouldn't you at least get some help by someone that have been here a long time, that knows more about Gameogre?
Because I also think it's pretty weird that someone that have been here for only a short time decides this alone.
Instead of PM you, I think it would be the best if we PM Ogreman instead, and let him decide.
I don't think that you should decide entirely on the ones with the best applications.
It should also depend on who it is. Because I highly doubt that someone new that made a good application will be good for this role.
And can't you test the people their knowledge of GameOgre somehow? It would be best if the GMs actually knew pretty much about GameOgre.

Btw, have you discussed this with Ogreman, and does he approve this?

    Commanders,

It is time for the new session of the Guess Where contest, in which we ask you to show off your eye for the detail by identifying both the tank and the map where it is located.

The prize system has changed, giving you more chances to win! Read onwards to learn more, and follow the link to take part.

The next session of the contest will begin on Tuesday, November 20th at 18:30 CET (17:30 GMT) and will last for 4 days. As usual, the contest picture will be posted in the dedicated forum.

Your task is to figure out the name of the map and the location (A1, B4, etc.), as well as the name of the vehicle shown in the masked picture. You also will have to explain your answer with a short sentence.

    Rules :
When you are sure you know the square of the map this picture is from and the vehicle it shows, send us your answer [email protected] with the subject line of “Guess Where " (in English) and your in-game name.

    Example : Subject: Guess Where – Pseudo12
    Message:
    Map : Prokhorovka, C6
    Tank : T-127
    Why : I see the … and the …
Feel free to write your explanation text in your native language, but please make sure you send it to the correct e-mail address with the correct subject line or your entry not will be accepted! Note: Only entries submitted in one of the six officially supported languages (EN, DE, FR, ES, PL or CZ) will be eligible for winning.
Only one entry per player is allowed
We will award a prize for the first 3 correct answers that we receive, and after receiving those first three answers, we will select two random players with the right answer on every day left until the contest ends on Friday.
If you are unable to find the right answer on the first day, don’t worry! We will reveal a little more of the picture on each of the following days. But greater information comes with a price. The reward you will receive will reduce the more days it takes to uncover the secret.

    Prizes:

    Right answer during Tuesday:
    2000

    Right answer during Wednesday:
    1000

    Right answer during Thursday:
    500

    Right answer during Friday:
    250

After receiving the first two good answers, we will randomly pick two correct answers on each remaining day and reward them as follows:

    Random Winner on Tuesday:
    1000

    Random Winner on Wednesday:
    500

Random Winner on Thursday and Friday:
    250

Note: The random winners are selected only once we have the two first winners. So, for example, if the two correct answers come on the Wednesday, the random winners will start being picked on the Wednesday, so there will be two winners of 500 gold and four winners of 250 gold (two on Thursday and two on Friday).

To participate in the contest, please follow the rules in the forum.

The winners will be announced at the same time as the announcement for next week’s Guess Where contest.

    Good luck and have fun!

    Last Week’s Winners

Thank you all for participating in the previous Guess Where Contest. Many of you took part in this contest by trying to find out not only the name of the map, but also the exact coordinates and the tank hidden in the picture. Check out the full picture without the mask below:

It was the American tier II light tank, the T2 Light Tank on the Redshire map, H8 coordinates.

Some clues you could have used to identify it were:

First the hints for the tank:
    1. There were few elements of the tanks visible on the screen. The colour of the tank suggested that it was most likely an American tank.
    2. Top of the turret and part of the gun are clearly visible, implying that the tank must be small, most likely one of the American Light Tanks. This is especially true when you compare the size of gun and part of the barrel on the left.
    3. The gun and turret top are rather typical and rule out most American Light Tanks, with one exception. The exception is T2 light tank.

Secondly, the hints for the map and location:
    1. Looking at the grass, visible trees and the sky you could rule out the winter and desert maps.
    2. Perhaps the most typical element of the environment visible in the picture is a big barrel, apparently next to a house. One of the few maps with such a feature is Redshire.
    3. Judging by the barrel, its location next to a house which is partially visible as well as the elements of foliage you could check that the Redshire is the only map that matches all the elements and the position is H8

The winners are listed below, rewarded as in the rules (as per last week's contest).

    Commanders,

Hunt Us Down is back this week! Hit the battlefields and keep your eyes peeled for the Wargaming tanks. If you destroy one, you’ll win some gold!

    Rules:
The contest will be running from November 19th at 06:30 CET (05:30 GMT) until November 23rd 06:00 CET (05:00 GMT). That’s right – you can meet our Wargaming tanks in battle any time throughout the day and evening.
This week, there are no fixed sessions for certain tiers. Vehicles of any and all tiers can be found at any time.
The rewards system for this contest is now fully automated. Winners will be rewarded straight after the match by the system. There is no need to take any screenshots.

    Prizes:
A player who successfully destroys the Wargaming tank will receive 500. Team-killing is still against the rules – if you team-kill the Wargaming tank, not only will you win nothing, but you’ll get a caution and be flagged as a team killer as well!
Please be aware that there is no reward for defending the vehicle. However, whilst the enemy team is busy hunting the tank, there could be an ideal opening to go out and capture the base or take down your enemy!

In order to help you identify the target, all Wargaming tanks will be sporting a fashionable golden camouflage design.

As well as the golden camouflage, the Hunt Us Down vehicles are part of the HUD1 clan. In addition, their names will be marked on the battlescreen and team lists with a special symbol.

That’s it for the rules! You could meet the golden tanks at any time simply by joining a random battle.

Good luck hunting the golden tanks!
