    This one is tough for me, both are great games. If this was before TF2 went free-to-play I'd have to go Halo 4... it's not even a contest but since going Free-to-play TF2 has exploded, it's playbase is large and active, it's payment model is fair with some cool aspects and it's constantly being updated adding new stuff, fixing bugs, balancing etc... at one point I swear I was getting a new patch every day. TF2 has really turned things around and is a blueprint for how free-to-play shooters should be done.

    Halo 4 on the other hand is also still really popular, it's doesn't quite have the numbers of it's predecessors but it's still has a large fanbase and is a very capable shooter. That said little things like buying map packs (although more fair than other games that do the same) are kinda a pain and while 343 has more than delivered they still show some lacking in experience, especially in multiplayer balancing when in comparison to Bungie.

    For our latest creative contest we want to try something new! We would like you ask you all to design a medal or achievement for World of Tanks! This can be to commemorate epic bravery, amazing tactics, brilliant team work, silly moments or simply for those moments that have you thinking "there should be an achievement/medal for this" - these are just some examples, the potential is limited only by your imagination and experiences!
    Rules:
    1 entry per player. Edited entries are allowed.
    All entries must be posted within this topic
    The image must not violate the game or forum rules and the EULA
    No political-related symbols or messages are allowed nor insulting of players from other nations.
    Please do not deface existing medals. You can use then for inspiration but please don't take something like the Congressional Medal of Honor and simply stick an new image on the front of it. Look for a blank medal like I've done in the example above or draw the image from scratch.
    Note, entries which do not follow these rules will be disqualified.
    Rewards:
    1st place – 5000 gold for World of Tanks
    2nd place – 4000 gold for World of Tanks
    3rd place – 3000 gold for World of Tanks
    How to enter:
    By using an online image site such as pixlr or a program such as MS Paint or Photoshop, create and save your medal then upload the image to this thread with the medal title, medal requirements and a little flavour text to add some insight into the reason for the name.
    Judging will be based on the image quality, the thought put into the name/requirements and how relevant the medal/achievement is to World of Tanks.
    Deadline Sunday 8th September 2013 23:59 CEST.

    Yes, we are aware that the delays are unfortunate. But due to unforeseen circumstances, the servers will be down until further notice. We would love to provide you all with a estimated time for when the servers will be back up, but sadly, we do not have a time. We understand that many of you are frustrated and put aside your valuable time in order to play our beta.
    We thank you all for your patience and support as our teams work non-stop to bring this game back online and until full release. You as a community have been nothing more than amazing in providing feedback, suggestions, bugs, etc. We know we can count on you to voice your opinions while being constructive and helping new community members understand the game.

    We will be updating everyone as soon as possible on the server situation. We will post in this thread and the Server Maintenance thread. Any other posts created on this topic will be locked and sanctions will be issued.

    I did not see this coming, it kinda shocked everyone as it just came out of nowhere. The original scheduled down time was for upgrading the servers but apparently they hit a huge snag and now the game will be down until further notice... they've straight up said they have no timetable on return yet.

    It kinda doesn't sound like it'll be too long though, probably a few more days but I don't think it'll be more than a week... they've said they will give a better timetable as soon as they get it.

    All around sucks for everyone, I know I was really excited to jump back in but it's better it happens now in the Beta then later during full release.

    Update on this, purchasing gold will still be turned off so premium accounts while purchasable can only be bought using the gold they give you during the Beta (after account resets 600 gold). So no issues here.

    Well that's definitely not something typical to WG. Sure there are crashes happening occasionally and server downtimes, but never longer than few hours. WG's xbox devs fail bad compared to rest of the company

    They've been careful with their words but their posts sound more like someone else is at fault but they aren't allowed to say it. Which makes sense, they keep saying it's a server issue (which they don't control) but I'm sure if the case they've been told not to be more specific as to not tick off their partners.

    What is the Interactive Special and how does it work?

    The interactive special allows you to make your own special. It consists of three parts: Interactive Poll, Interactive Offer and Random Draw.

    Every two weeks the Interactive Poll opens where you can vote for your favourite vehicle from the pool. This poll runs in our forums from Monday until the following Monday. Once the winner of the voting is known, the interactive offer takes place one week after the poll and is available for 7 days, starting and ending on Monday. In addition to give those less popular tanks a chance, our Community Team will choose a random vehicle from the pool. This is the third part, called Random Draw. It has the same concept as the Interactive Offer, meaning the bonuses and discounts are similar. It always starts when the Interactive Offer ends.
