Yeah there have been quite a few tier 10's that are so hard to find in battles, let alone kill. It's why I never got master tanker medal, there was always that one tank I couldn't find, then they release the next patch and add 20 more tanks to the game and suddenly, it's 21 tanks I'm looking for.

Yes I had it. Back when it was tier 8, it was great, then they turned it into tier 9 epic fail, and it pretty much was the worst tank in the game for a long time. It's still quite near the rock bottom at the moment.

These are the translations of the Russian Q&A with developers from WG, done by the EU server player Silentstalker, on his blog "For the Record", located on wot-news website

- SerB states that WoT wonâ€™t be transferred to a new game engine, it would increase the costs and reduce the speed of development
- there has been a project to put a gun more powerful than the BL-9 on IS-3: the D-83
- a high power 122mm gun was tested on an IS-2 (more powerful than the D-25)
- there were plans to equip the Tigers with engines more powerful than the 700hp one, for example an 870hp Maybach, there were even more advanced engines, but not for Tiger â€“ by the time they were developed, Tiger was already replaced by Tiger II (and in future by E-75)

- a non-penetrating HE explosion (on armor) can also set an engine on fire (modules get damaged even if the shell doesnâ€™t penetrate)
- repair kit doesnâ€™t fix only the equipment function, but also its hitpoints
- for now the devs havenâ€™t had time to discuss the perk/skill rebalance issues
- there is no additional bonus for critting enemy gun barrel than for damaging other modules
- Q: â€œHow high will be the maximum speed of the new tier 10 French heavy without autoloader?â€ A: â€œAs high as I implement itâ€
- Q: â€œIâ€™d like to see Soviet tanks with autoloaders, why arenâ€™t there any?â€ A:â€Because the Soviets didnâ€™t bother with autoloadersâ€
- the fact that a skill training is non-linear (first few percent require least XP and the last percent requires most XP to train) was made with the intent of skill starting to work faster and the average skill level related to period of time being higher
- SerB states that oscillating turrets and autoloaders are so good in the game, because reliability does not play a role in WoT. This is intentional, as the developers do not want the player to â€œfight their own tankâ€, lower real life reliability of components is sometimes implemented as lower amount of module hitpoints for example
- the fact you disable the encounter and assault modes has no influence on map selection
- Soviet autocannon Sh-37 penetration values were taken from tests conducted under 60 degrees and not 90 degrees (they are not historical), because with the 90 degrees pen the gun would be way too overpowered
- based on previous questions, a player asks where else is the penetration lower than historical, SerB replies that itâ€™s like that with many premium shells for example
- SerB states that while the hull drawings for IS-3 on the internet are fully adequate, the drawings of the turret armor are quite complicated and thatâ€™s why they havenâ€™t been laid out
- 122mm U-11 was not proposed for KV-2, itâ€™s in the game as a stock gun for balance reasons
- SerB states that even though there is a new trend on RU server (players intentionally playing bad to have worst stats possible), the thing that will be punished will be these playersâ€™ individual transgressions, not the trend as a whole
- at this moment, it is not planned for shells to cause weak armor zones (SS: as in, a shell damages armor and the spot will be easier to penetrate), apparently this was planed until closed testing, itâ€™s possible it might appear in the future, but SerB states the problem with this would be player perception (â€œhow the hell did they penetrate that spot with a weak gunâ€)
- there will be no â€œspecialâ€ tank destroyer vehicle usable only in 7/42
- itâ€™s possible the Panther II from Patton museum (SS: Panther II hull with Panther Ausf.G turret) will make it to the game, perhaps as an optional hull
- SerB and Storm confirm that T-44-85 will NOT be in 8.9, itâ€™s too weak and requires more testing, apparently the penetration will be buffed
- apparently the function where you can add your own notices to your friend list contacts has been considered, but itâ€™s impossible for some reason to transfer it server-side

Mouse Control Masterclass: Barrel Roll | General News | World of Warplanes

After the inside loop, today we take a look at another famous air manoeuvre â€“ the barrel roll!
Note - the difference between â€˜Vectorâ€™ and â€˜Hybridâ€™ is as follows:
With the Vector system, every introduced motion continues in the chosen direction indefinitely without further repositioning of the mouse cursor.
With the â€˜Hybridâ€™ system, the same is true for big motions. However, for smaller movements within a certain range, instead of continuing indefinitely, your plane will auto-centre on the position of your cursor instead of continuing to turn indefinitely.
While this difference is important to know about and helps you choose the right type of controls depending on your preferences, it is a negligible distinction for the purposes of this article. Therefore, when explaining the manoeuvres, we will combine the two â€˜Vectorâ€™ and â€˜Hybridâ€™ into one and compare it to the â€˜Standardâ€™ version, which is set by default.
Air Manoeuvre: Barrel Roll

This manoeuvre is a combination of a loop and a roll, during which the plane follows a helical path while performing a horizontal corkscrew.
On Standard

The easiest way to perform a barrel roll (in its simplest form) is just to map the â€œRoll leftâ€ and â€œRoll rightâ€ commands to your keyboard and hold either one of them so that the plane rotates around its roll axis. If you now use your mouse to â€œlookâ€ up, slightly above the centre of the screen, while rolling left or right using the keyboard, youâ€™ll increase your horizontal movement throughout the manoeuvre. This will perform your barrel roll with a wider angle.
Should you choose to execute the barrel roll without the help of your keyboard, youâ€™ll need to be sure not to make any overly sudden movements. Simply move your plane up and then start leading it through the roll by painting an imaginary outward spiral with your mouse, starting in the centre. Choose a fix point on the horizon and â€œpaintâ€ this imaginary spiral around it to avoid losing your initial direction. Make sure you paint the angle wide enough, so that the steering assistance picks up on your intentions and doesnâ€™t â€œauto-correctâ€ your flight path to level off the plane.
On Vector/Hybrid
This manoeuvre is performed by moving the cursor to the far left or right of your screen. This will immediately make your plane bank to your chosen side. In order to perform the necessary corkscrew-like movement, youâ€™ll have to start turning the directional cursor downward in a clockwise or counter clock-wise fashion (depending on which side youâ€™re rolling to). Try to hold the line from your directional indicator parallel to your planeâ€™s wings at all times, essentially by always keeping the cursor at the same relative position at the far left or right side of the screen. When the manoeuvre is finished, pull your directional cursor back to the middle of the screen.
