    I preffer more solo when i entering alone in match
    but when i play with friend on skype then i go duo :D

    its double edged sword for douQ you have to be prepared and know that your partner and you are on same skill lvl
    for rolle pick is the best to take mid/jungler or bot lane

    In solo Q u focus more on your playstyle,when you play duo Q with player who is higher than you,you will probably let him to carry you,and you can play duo q with top if you are adc/supp.Mid/jungle and adc/supp always win,bot premade is something different,you must trust your adc/supp.

    If you want to be safer play duo, but dont play with anyone, play with your friends, because you know how they play. And always be in comunnication (skype, ts...), also see that as a premade you play together on lane (that would be best) bot (adc, supp), but if you cant you can go top and jungle, top or mid. I wouldnt try to go top, adc or supp, mid...

    If you and your partner are good when plays together than duo but if you go duo with someone who you don't know for a long time,then better play solo :)
