    Ok, despite the somewhat funny title have a serious discussion. Please leave the "Spam" determining up to myself and the mod team here. Fighting real spam is not a bad thing, but the problem is that sometimes people take it too far and use it for insults. I have seen it used as an insult to other members in particular and even a time or two to insult the entire site. There is no place for that here since the main topic should be games:).

    I have even seen where members said they will stop responding to a decent thread because somebody said it was spam. That is not good at all and should stop immediately. If I see somebody taking it too far like this, I will tell them to stop. In some cases, a clubbing is even possible.

    That said, please get off the spam subject and just enjoy the community:).

    What is a definition for a spam ... ?
    Or what is the definition for a forum spamer ... ?

    I found one on wikipedia ...
    Forum spam consists of posts on Internet forums that contains related or unrelated words, links to malicious websites, and abusive or otherwise unwanted information. Forum spam is usually posted onto message boards by automated spambots or manually with unscrupulous intentions with one idea in mind: to get the spam in front of readers who would not otherwise have anything to do with it intentionally.

    Spam posts may contain anything from a single link to dozens of links. Text content is minimal, usually innocuous and unrelated to the forum's topic. Sometimes the posts may be made in old threads that are revived by the spammer solely for the purpose of spamming links. Posts include some text to prevent the post being caught by automated spam filters that prevent posts which consist solely of external links from being submitted.

    We rly need to know what is actually a spam ... and what is not.
    I know in forum games you cant type 2-3 sentences but in all other threats you can (you must write more about that what you are asking, and what you think about it)!

    For Example for me:

    Spam
    " hahahhaha"

    "Urgot is Op"

    "Thresh is best"

    NOT a Spam
    "Hahaah, i never hear so funny story. Same happens to me before few years : and write what happens."

    "Urgot is so annoying, he can spam his E,Q combo and he got op range.. his ulty is ....: and write why is he op why not."

    "Thres is one of the best supp. He can grab you ... and write why you think that he is op ..."


    Am I right .. or I got something wrong in my head ?

    arZ not all short answers are spams, such as when you vote for a game, you can but you don't need to explain why, if you liked the game you will vote for it... Just an example.

    When you vote for a game and you like it .. you got many arguments why you like the game. Talk about it. What is so funny on that game that you vote.
    I could talk bout my favorite games hours, and hours.

    The question for the BIG BOSS (ogreman) was ... he should show us what is a spam and what is not a spam.
    That what I wrote is what i think about spam and spamers ...

    yes,spamming is irritating people,it's normal,and i completely agree with you ogreman.On the other hand,if someone keeps writing 10 mesages in 3 mins,i would consider it as spam,or too many writing for few minutes.And i agree that spammers need to get clubbed :)

    Yeah.. i have seen about milion threads on theme: Rene vs Nasus.. it can be annoying somethimes when you see the 5 same posts everyday..

    It depends on the context, if someone asks Battlefield 4 vs World of Tanks and then someone answers "Battlefield 4 for me" that is not spam. It's perfectly legit. While more details are preferable the post is still on topic and answers the question.

    If someone asks Battlefield 4 vs World of Tanks and then someone answers "hahahaha" or "League of Legends"... that is obviously spam as it has nothing to do with Battlefield vs World of Tanks. Same with "stupid question", same with "this thread has been created a million times", same with "your a spammer" etc none of it has to do with Battlefield vs WoT.

    How about on topic, well if someone were to answer "Battlefield 4" that's still ok but if later they answer the same thread again "Battlefield 4"... now they are spamming, no reason to answer the same thread twice unless they are adding to the discussion.

    Short answers are fine when in context, we'd prefer longer ones but as long as they are on topic it's not a problem.

    Report it! I mean it too late now because I found it but seriously ignore and report, by replying to the spam all that does is get your post deleted too and by not reporting it it means it just gonna sit longer before it's deleted.

    The problem caused by the subject is that different people have different opinions on what spam is. That is why I said let the mod team and myself handle the spam:).

    For example, we used to have a member who started out as a good poster. When he slowed down and others were posting more than him, he would resort to saying they spammed and tell them about it. They then started posting less as a result because they did not want somebody to say they spammed. Then they would call attention to others as well. See the cycle here? When members are using spam or even the fear of spam to effect the posting of others, it is not good for the forum. They may even have the best intentions sometimes, but it can definitely cause problems with other members since nobody wants to be labeled as a spammer.

    Thus, if I see somebody calling somebody else a spammer on the forum or in chat, the one doing the calling may get clubbed or sent to the Pit. Some need to drop the spam griping and just enjoy the community. If you think it is a serious problem, report the posts and/or PM myself or a mod. Other than that, let the mod team and my club take care of spam:).

    They are doing the same exact thread everyday? If a thread has already been made, I would think we could just use one for an official one and then move the rest into that. Or they need at least slightly different topics to justify staying.

    If there is somebody doing this, let me know via PM, like I said, and I will see about fixing it:).

    Trust me, we merge and delete many dup threads everyday. I agree with you, it's annoying that people are not using search and creating threads that already exist. The best thing you guys can do is report threads you know are duplicates, this will help us find them faster.

    The best way not to spam is this :

    when you post to a thread do it like this first read the 1 post and the topic.
    now you know what the thread is about :)

    then you go and make a post that is a build up/continuation/adds on the rest of posts.
    In this way your post will not be deleted.

    when you make a new thread first look with the search engine maybe the thread already exists in this way you will not make a double thread and your thread will not be deleted.

    when you make a new thread please let it make sense do not make posts and threads just to build up your forum points.

    Keep your posts and threads like they are a real conversation between people .

    Totally agree with you. Sometimes I think that many ppls are not reading the threats and are to lazy to search similar threats that they could use.
    Sometime I think ... the ppl just post ... and not read the posts / threads.
    See what a nice conversation we have here ... and its rly fun to talk about this ... i would say "problem" with you guys.

    And rly love this "Keep your posts and threads like they are a real conversation between people" .
    Yea it should be a conversation like in a bar with a couple of good friends when they are drinking beer and talking about games, girls, sport ...
    I think every one can write two sentence in every threat... the ppl are just to lazy to read and write, they just want ....nvm this is another story.

    Yeah, I've noticed that and said that this isn't MOBA forum. I think that there should be a search bar posted on some more visible place becouse these people don't know how to use it.
