Last week's challenge was to design combat gear not currently featured in BFP4F. All design entries had to be hand-drawn or created as a collage. The gear had to include a top, bottom, and shoes; all other components were optional. It was equally focused on structure as well as skin design.
Entries that did not follow the challenge rules or did not meet the requirements were disqualified. This week's winners were selected based on originality, creativity, the structure of the gear and the level of protection it would provide, and the overall design and its cohesiveness. This Week's Challenge​

Attention, soldiers!
This is General Sturnidae with an urgent message for all the troops out there. My weapons engineering team has noticed there are a few weapons in our arsenal that are looking rather shabby. It seems that the soldiers are wary of taking old weapons out on the battlefield considering the results of the last weapons test almost a month ago. If the guns can be refurbished with some creative flair, the soldiers' fears may be assuaged. With the battle raging on, there's no time to lose! I need YOU and your invaluable artistic input for the next assignment...

This week the General requires designs for any of the following guns: P90, STG77AUG, or F2000. You only need to choose ONE of the three. The gun you choose must be designed using one of the templates provided below. An artistic, visually appealing skin is mandatory this week. This means using color, images, patterns, and so on. Structural modifications* are welcome, but optional. As you know, the harder the work, the bigger the reward!

*Note: A structural modification is more than just adding an attachment. You are actually changing some part of the physical appearance or mechanics of the gun. When you modify the structure, it creates a model that does not exist in BFP4F (or even in real life).

How do I submit my hard work for Design Directive Friday?

• Read the message in each Design Directive weekly post to find out what your directive and requirements are for the week.
• Create an original design for the specified item that week, being sure to follow all the specifications listed by the General.
• Save your finalized work as a .jpeg or .png image.
• Post your design image to this thread with the words: "Design Directive Friday Entry:"
  • To do this, you may upload your image directly to the forum or via an image sharing site (i.e. Photobucket, ImageShack, etc.)
• Now wait for the judging and see if you win!

Rules and FAQ

• You may submit only ONE (1) entry per week.
• You may create your design using any program (i.e. Photoshop) or technique (i.e. traditional hand-drawn).
• Your design may be as simple as a skin change or you can modify the entire structure of the item (as long as it's still within the weekly specifications).
• Submissions must be original. Any work that is found to be copied, either from someone in the forum or from an outside source, will be immediately disqualified and the user will not be able to win that week.

An eerie force has made its way to planet Earth from the distant reaches of our galaxy. Odd looking creatures with advanced technology are arriving by the hundreds and there intentions are sinister.
