small images, links... that sort of stuff

 

Images definitely. But I can't think of anything else that wouldn't have bad side effects.

 

I don't think you can stick Links of websites on peoples custom sigs. I only think you can add your personel Links on your Sigs to access links from websites in your profile. There is a setting in your profile. Its under home page Profile. It allows URLs that people can link to. So this is what I heard.

But deffently Images and custom text in Sig. The Sig should be something like 250 pixels x 500 pixels big. Which is about average size of sigs, No animations, or very little becuse the animations will make the forum slowly chug along. and most of all "NO VULGORE IMAGES!" ie P () r |\| and such.

I think image Sigs is a awesome Idea. I also think you need to add third party URL's like ImageShack, Photobucket, etc. Under Sig section in profile. So the forum allows us to use these third party URL's to post the Sig. But not sure how it works now adays, it may be alot easier to make custom sigs, then it use to be.

The forums automaticly blocked out the word in my post after ie. So that is a good sign that the vulgore images may get blocked out on peoples SIGs. So there is no reason to even try to post them images in sigs. So don't Do it. please

 

yes that's the trouble with links, it can be abused... perhaps add some sort of minimum postage, before links can be added to the signature... if that's possible of course, else forget the suggestion, because then it may be more trouble than it's worth it

lol 521 posts shouldn't be a problem for qualification i think

at least ogreman should qualify beyond a doubt he has more than 10,000 posts

 

I think you should have over 200 posts, and to get in, you'd have to ask either you or Aaddron for permission, which should be the safest.

 

I say make it Rank useable base on Forum activety. Well these forums do have a kinda ranking system already, why not manipulate the Ranking sytem somehow? IE: a certain rank allows sig posting, and Higher rank allows sig posting plus link posting in custom Sig.

I think this will help the forums be more active then they already are, because everybody likes Sigs. While it will also help rid people wanting to post Vulgore links in there Sigs..After all, it took awhile to reach, "Sig" posting rank, aswell as "Sig" posting + Link posting. If someone posts anything Vulgore they drop way down in rank and need to start over to be able to repost there "Sig" again.

If the forum ranks can be manipulated that way, then, I am sure, no one will post anything vulgore in there "Sig" in the first place.

 

Well, if you think about it, if you're not active, then no one will ever see whatever link you have in your signature...

I guess having the special sigs for people with 1000 plosts or more would be too restrictive?
