AdventureQuest 3D is a game that will work on a lot of nostalgia from the early users of the internet. Like most it's very impressive to see how far the game has come, from it's multiple spinoffs to it's current incarnation. One of the most appealing aspects I found to the game is the cross-play system. I have friends and family whom are glued to their phones and it's hard to get them to play anything that they can't play on their phones. I haven't had that problem anymore and I even find myself playing half the time with my phone as well.

The game has a long way to go yet but for what it is it's enjoyable and I really look forward to seeing the game get more fleshed out. It has the same enjoyable humor anyone who's played the browser game can expect and if it's a successor of that? There's a lot of content we can expect in the future.

I really love that its new and has so many possibilities, and that theres so many rare and grindy items you have to farm for. I have always wanted to find a good mmo but i also want to collect rare items and aq3d is the perfect chance to do that since its so new. I also love how much the developers are connected with the community. The feeling of logging on to find out that there's a new update rather it be a small event like shrade/dage's birthday or seasonal area's like Frostval feels amazing. I love the feeling of finally getting a rare drop after hours of farming like the red dragon plate armor or Vorah's dagger. I love that cartoony comic book type graphics as well. It's allso great to see the evolution of the Adventure quest. Overall its a great new MMORPG that can apeal to anyone's playstyle

The reason why I like this game is simple. I'm 40, have 2 kiddos a full time chef and husband to a loving wife. This game takes me back. Back to a time when I'd sit at my pc and grind for a couple hours playing whatever I was playing at the time, diablo 2... morrowind... etc.. easy games to get lost into is what I enjoy and AQ3D takes me right there. Thank you and keep it coming

Okay so this is my first review of AQ3D. I am keeping in mind the game is still beta so I will be lenient by first saying although the bugs in the game have not stopped me from playing, I will still mention the common ones that really take away the joy of the game in the cons section.
Pros: I found the game in app store searching for my next mmorpg, that was cross platform, easy to switch server, bearing in my mind my experience with Order and Chaos Online and Toram Online. Inital impressions; The colors are very vibrant, with a very "Disney" color pallet, the graphics are cartoony, in a good balanced way. The initial training and orientation segment was easy to understand as are the controls. I love the travel (teleporting) ability which is also free, instead of the actual running to the areas you want to go or "spending" and saving teleport wings or items. I really like the ability to switch classes. AQ3D is simpler or I should say "simplified" in comparison to other rpgs I've played but very addictive, which is really a compliment! The need to farm is really balanced with questing, well.. at the beginning which I agree is crucial to having players become addicted, I take into account the short lvl cap is due to being beta so farming becomes a want instead of a need, which is nice for a change. My other games, farming is a need which can lead to feeling futile with the game just spinning your wheels.
Cons: Okay so... bugs, it's beta I know, but the first bug I mention makes me waste so many dungeon keys it's not funny, the blue flame orb bug I call it, because when I join an area, sometimes every player and npc appears as a blue orb flame, I can roll with it but the game can't, because when I go to exit to the next lvl or room.. game locks up,i.e. blue orb means last area and you have to reset. If you're in a dungeon it means you wasted a key cuz you have to reset. So next, the real con for me minus bugs, I think will be remedied soon with team selection option put in, but entering dungeons with random players who don't give a flip of why you're in there and 9/10 times never wait for you, esp if they're higher lvl than you, so if you're needing to be part of killing the boss or find a secret chest, an inconsiderate crap player doesn't wait for you goes ahead and kills whatever without you need leaving you without even a chance of a drop, again, wasting a dungeon key. So you can guess between bugs and a--holes, you waste lots of dungeon keys, which dungeon keys take lots of time each to collect, what about 3 hrs each with a cap of holding only 20.
Conclusion: I like AQ3D a LOT, I can't say if it will be a primary game I play on my phone until after the post beta game is released, I need a larger world to play in. I love collecting weapons which brought me here to create an account with this forum. Collecting weapons that look interesting despite the stats is what actually keeps the game fun, even after lvl cap is reached so if you're into games where you collect stuff, this game might be interest you, the questing is fun, level capping is a challenge but very reachable. I think I level capped inside of a week with the help of random players. With that review, may I please get a gdc sword code, and any new sword or cape codes available thank you!

Here is my honest review of AQ3D:
I have been a "long time" player and fan of Artix Entertainment, dating back to 2011 when I discovered AdventureQuest Worlds. Since then, I have supported many of their games, such as HeroSmash and Oversoul. However, both of those games have since been neglected of any recurring updates, making it a waste. I don't blame AE for somewhat abandoning those games, but it makes me worried that if AQ3D isn't a huge success such as AQW was, then they will stop updating the game. But through my experiences so far playing AQ3D, and participating in the alpha and beta, I'm sure this game will be a great successor to AQW.

AQ3D has a similar experience to AQW, and with their oncoming 1.4 patch, it'll mimic AQW very well. I have not been dissapointed with all the quests and how the story is developing so far, they have kept it very interesting. Along with that, the seasonal events and special events have been extremely fun, along with the amazing rares and seasonal items each event brings. The only downfall to these events so far have been their significant focus of grinding to get gear. It's a to be expected way to make their players play their game to get hooked. My only suggestion for future events is to add more meaningful story quests to the events to make them more memorable and interesting.

Regarding classes, there are only four in the game as of now, with more coming in the future. So far, I have appreciated AE's constant rebalancing of the classes, to make each one have its benefits while not making one specific class overpowered. They have also had a focus of the stats on the gear that you obtain throughout the game. It's nice knowing the team aren't afraid to test changes and rebalance things accordingly. My only problem with some of the gear is that they are reskins of other gear. This is also to be expected, since they have to find a way to make it so when they ship updates to mobile phones it won't clog up their data, and something this minor isn't enough to make me stop playing, so it's something I can live with. Otherwise, the armor and gear is pretty rad.

Finally, the graphics of the game. The game's graphics aren't anything amazing and HD like an AAA game, however the graphics are perfect for an MMORPG like this one. The adjusting of graphics as well is a nice feature. They are experimenting with animated cutscenes, and their most recent one with the Ashfall release was amazing. As of now, my only complaint graphics-wise is the UI and the UI System. The UI looks poorly done and could use a lot of work, and the organization of your gear is painful. In the future, i'm hoping they will rework the UI Menu and make the organization of gear to be easier.

I have full faith that AQ3D will be a major successor of AQW, with it being a cross-platform game, which already beats AQW in that regard. With the huge fanbase, and that said fanbase still growing, I have no doubt this game will get popular. Along with that, the developers of the game are getting more and more skilled as more updates are shipped. I definitely recommend this game to people who are looking to waste time, as this game requires you to sacrifice a lot of time.

Thank you for giving out keys!

Hi here's my review of aq3d. I like this game a lot because I can play it with my friends on other devices. I also like looking for the rare items from monsters that have like a 1% chance to get it. I takes quite a long time to level up but the quests keep the game fun. I hope that they release the next update soon as I really like the game. I would like to see a pvp mode in the future. If I could get one of those codes it would be really great thank you.

I began playing Adventure Quest with my nephew as a little guy. That was years ago now. He moved on to other games but I kept my account and paid for membership. I joined Steam when Carmageddon posted on Kickstarter about their new version. From there I found AQ3D also on Kickstarter, looking for funding to have an interactive game on Steam too. So, I signed up.

I especially like AQ because it has been kept fairly ok for anyone to play. Not just young people but someone like myself who enjoys the game but is not especially good at some parts of it (like jumping from cliff to cliff). I find AQ3D can work for beginners and up to those who want to spend hours farming for rare items. As the game grows and gets more maps and adventures added there is more to do. I like having more choices and maps. That way if someone is dungeon rushing in one place I still have a few other quests/ places to pick from. But, I don't like being stuck waiting to level up past 16 now. That does make a lot of it feel futile, even though I am crafting and doing the Dage map now. I would like to see how close I am to level 17, but... it isn't there.

I would like the fancy sword. I found your forum today while looking for AQ3D information. I got to a point where I only have a few dungeon keys left and I'm really tired of people dungeon rushing and not at least waiting for everyone to be there for the boss. Anyway, a sword will be different for me. I've been picking axes and maces from the start.

AQ3D, while still unpolished, demonstrates the same sense of humour that Artix Entertainment games have always had. There is limited content available, and it doesn't feel even close to a complete game, as it continues to be developed, and yet I keep going back. The potential it shows is undeniable, and I hope that AE can create something great.

I also was one of the players from DragonFable times, and AQW has always been the most addictive game for me because of the real time combat in a really simple manner.

AQ3D is next on the line with the 3D and many more possibilities for the AE style development. Unlike some people, I am not seeing a clone of another mmorpg.

First of all, the crossplatform: A couple years ago, i wasn't really sure about this. But now I realize I always wanted anything possible in crossplatform. Even AAA games have their servers separated. No kidding, this is a giant improvement that must be taken as a good example.

Another important thing, development style: Players that have been with AE before this game can see how they accommodated their style to a 3D mmo. Which is great for me because i really like the constant development of a game. Just like modding communities of some games, this way we never be out of entertainment.

And the most important thing, the experience: We've all been there, not enjoying something praised by majority. Because experience differs according to player. I am not really interested in extreme graphics only, the art and design feels much better for me in AQ3D. Furthermore, gameplay is not either repetitive or unnecessarily complex. Since this game has multiple class feature and still in beta, this is not even the final form for gameplay :D. Also AQ3D, like AQW, is not restricted, there is something for everyone. Hardcore farming, soothing environment, parkour, stories and characters to attach to, people to hang out and most importantly, we can always expect more. That is my favorite thing about AQ3D, the experience i get. And i've never seen anything else better.

    Thanks AE
And thank you for all those gdc codes :D

As a 21 year old working full time and traveling a lot it's nice to have a mobile game that you can just farm the time away to get stunning quality gear, the gear sets are amazing and it's not just sets you can mix and match items to your liking, I'm so happy they added a bank for all my amazing gear :)

As a player who played AE games for almost 8 years now, I've always enjoyed their games. AQ3D is their most ambitious project yet, and it's no surprise already being a success. although honestly I'd have preferred that they had lessened the bonuses and microtransactions part of it but It can't be helped, they need money after all. but overall gameplay wise, I think the art is Unique and cute :3, the combat is a bit buggy atm but as a game in beta stage I can't really blame them. But as I was here when AQW was starting, The leveling is a bit grindy than I expected it but atleast not as grindy as it was during pre-beta (lol 3 hrs for 2 lvls). I can confidently say that this game will be just as succesful as AQW in the near future.

    Well here's a lil review!

when I was a kid I love playing AE games, and when the AQ3D came I'd love the graphics and it's design from the characters and a lot of cool enemys and also my first AE game was EpicDuel, I just saw the EpicDuel community, they post about the developers will leave and will go to a game named called AQ3D, so I realize that I will not going to play a game without an admin/developers, so the first game on AE I've met Artix in-game. I also saw you ogreman, you guys we're best!

Thank you for giving out free codes!!

A review for a code, fair trade.

As a kickstarter who helped fund the game I can say it has alot of potential and is currently on its way to meeting it even if it is currently in beta.

Battles need a little polish, and the moves work fine for the classes they are designed for, close range, long range or sneak and hide.
The graphics are great to see as the original AQ is brought to life in 3d and to see all the creatures coming to kill you in any direction is a great to enjoy and watch.
The staff makes all these games great, to listen to them and the fact they support/love and reward players in any way they can, if they make a mistake they fix it and sometimes give a compensation, if their system glitches and you benefit they bite the expense, their creativity is great to watch and unfold, from events to enemies.

The staff, and the games have constantly kept me coming back and being a supporter of their games even before their second one.

I played dragonfable, mechquest, adventure quest and is still playing AQ worlds. I decided yesterday to try AQ3D. I thought that it would be kind of easy since I played some AE games already especially AQ worlds. After completing my quests and entering battleon, I accepted a quest from an NPC. I kind of got lost where to find the monster since the quest doesn't say where it can be located. That's the only problem I encountered so far :) Nice work AE btw.

Been a fan of the AE series for 10 years(with more than half time AFK though... lol), I accidentally knew about AQ3D half a month ago. It's always adorable to see characters you know and like present in a brand new game. With this game still on early access, I can't say it's perfect(especially when it comes to farming for hours just to gain 1 level or so), but an AE fan like me can definitely gain fun, and the developers' enthusiasm and efforts are really worth appreciation, making me believe that it can finally come out as a fantastic one.

Thanks to AE devs for the new game, and to gameogre for the codes!
