Unfound Item!

I don't think they'd bother giving out hints. The developers who write the news aren't the developers who manage the database and decide where to add drops, after all. I remember when Wicked Joke was reintroduced, and none of the developers had said anything about it, until Sayn mentioned about it and it was found in less than an hour.

 

Finding Midas' Curse did turn into a scavenger hunt and there were hints tossed by staff members and/or by testers but they turned out to be red herrings. There was even a document made to find a mob that drops it by using those hints, but I got removed at some point. It's been quite some time since this happened so my memory of it is not that great.

 

I still think it doesn't actually exist. We need specifics from Artix.

For sure thats an secret shop or an very very rare drop item that people thinks really never exist in game lol

 

U'd really want to be one of the early 1s to serendipitously stumble on something like a secret shop, wouldn't ya? ))

 

Not any point hunting for a really low drop rate item that may not even exist. May as well just keep playing normally until some kind of hint eventually drops or something comes out about it. You need at least some sort of hint even if it's a really small one. It can be fun to come up with guesses as to where it might be though.

There are mobs/bosses that were considered to be impossible to kill; but with the level cap raising they've become possible to kill. Like Treevenge in Shadow Guard for instance.

I remember back when the level cap was 15 I would always try to kill it; but could never do it. Now that the cap is 25 you can kill Treevenge. (You need at least one other person with you to kill it though. Might be able to solo it; but it would be really hard and use a ton of potions)

The mob actually drops common crafting items found in Shadow Guard. So if it drops common items, whose to say it couldn't drop a rare item that has a really low drop rate?
