    In order of personal preference:

    Blazblue: Continuum Shift 2 - fast-paced, looks awesome, very strategic gameplay. The best character design and music. The ONLY fighting game series with a well thought-out story mode (plays like a JRPG though, so it may not be your cup of tea).

    *Special Mention: Arcana Heart 3 - either a close second to Blazblue, or somewhere below MvC3 on my list. Amusingly, for an "All-girl anime fighter" that uses DoA's appeal, it has a lot of depth and it's actually a very good game (albeit not many people in the West play it).

    Tekken 6 - fast-paced, crisp and smooth gameplay. Excellent character design.

    Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 - Very fun, looks awesome. Almost everything is devoted to being fun. Kinda broken though.

    Dead or Alive 4 - fast-paced and fun. Had the best graphics out there on Xbox 360, only slightly surpassed later by Tekken 6 and SC4. Counter system is fun to use.

    *Note: As you can see, I'm a fan of speedy games.

    Street Fighter 4: AE - Great game, though it never really hooked me. It's a classic though. Definitely sets the standard for fighting games.

    Soul Calibur 4 - Great game with good graphics, and character customization is the best out there.

    Guilty Gear - fun and fast paced since it was made by the same people as Blazblue, though it appeals mostly to the very hardcore.

    *So far, those are the only ones that I spent considerable time with. I will probably try King of Fighters 13 too, as soon as I get money to buy the game.
