    I went out and watched fireworks explode over a river. Also, where I am staying at currently is in the North Western US (north more important than the west here) and the laws are lax on if people can have fireworks themselves.

    Different because I'm used to living in the Arizona desert where fireworks are huge no-no -- being that they light things on fire.
