    I think the number one factor will be how easy it is to include in your game, if they make it so it doesn't add much if any development time to the game then I could see it working but if not it's pretty much dead in the water unless it's cheap or bundled with a console. I doubt people will buy this if it's expensive... well they will but not enough to justify the added development time.

    If Microsoft is serious about this they will have to bundle it with the next Xbox or have a really low price. If it's not bundled then they will have to release it within the first two years of the next Xbox... I think they can still recover after that but every year waited makes it that much harder.

    I like the idea overall, I think it has a few issues like space in the home and it seems the TV must be against a flat wall... I assume entertainment centers wont work with it either... but the rise of big TV has kinda killed them. I don't know, it's neat... I'd love to have it, it'll be interesting to see what happens with it.

    This is hard to come true, mostly because it has to deal with the laws before they can release. For one of many instances, safety matter; their products must be safe as much as possible. By the term 'safe' in this case, it means that when consumers use this product does it has any effects to your body(vision, mind, behavior, etc.)? What about long/short run usage? and much more. Not only just laws, but also other factors are included.

    tl;dr Everything is possible, but the laws are restricted.

    yeah I agree, it could be years before we see something like this in our homes, but it could be interesting if it happens :)

    I think I'd rather move everything off of a wall and use a projector on the wall this way the entire wall becomes the game screen. I think the other furniture on the wall would interfere with the image.

    As a matter of fact, I am waiting for the day when games will be immersive and we'll play in empty rooms, with the game projected onto all four walls.
