    Ok, going to announce that we are officially working a new site design again. The one twist is that this next one will likely have to be in Wordpress since that is what the main site will be next. If you have any suggestions regarding colors, sections etc., please let us know here:).

    I do have one complaint but it's probably more a unique case than a normal issue. My eyes aren't too great and combined with my current setup which the screen is further away it's hard to read things. So I set my default zoom level in Chrome to 125%, the Forum and the old design scaled no problem but the new design gets cut off. Lowering the zoom level one to 110% works great for the new design but makes the Forum too small. I can only set it by domain so the Forum and Homepage are locked together.

    My case is kinda unique but it's not uncommon for people to use zoom these days, I think it also points to potential problems with lower resolution screens... but I don't have any to test.

    How to fix it? I'm not sure.

    No, it's not really all that small. For the average person it should be fine, I just have bad eyes.

    I think it's the default width so when it's scaled up it goes off screen a lot faster. For example, the old design at 125% zoom is the exact same width or at least very close to the new design at 100% zoom but without the added benefit of bigger text. I think if the layout was pushed together a little bit more it would fix it. Most sites seem to be in line with GameOgre's old length. That or somehow tell the design to respect the borders of the screen (the Forum does it so it has to be possible) so it can't go off screen.

    By old length, you mean the current one? The site used to be at 100%:).

    I am seeing what we can do to make it fit smaller screens and mobile devices better:).

    The old one, the one currently on the homepage. A lot of sites are the same size of that one. The new design is much wider by default.

    Believe it or not, we did better as a wider site. We took a traffic hit both times we went more narrow on the main site and directory. That is the one reason we have not shrunk the forum too:).

    For the new design, wonder if we can keep it that width but let it adjust better to different screen sizes.

    Yeah, the Forum is wide but it also respects the edges of the screen. If you could get the new design to somehow do that, it would be perfect. Doesn't effect the original look but adjusts for those that need it. :)

    Yea, that is really going to happen, Morde lol.

    The main sticking point on the design now is that sidebar. Something tells me the resizing may be harder than it appears. Already been told by a couple of developers that they did not want to do it. Still will try to get it done though:).
