    If it's the CC that's the problem there, I'd rather ban Leona and Thresh over Malph and Blitz.

    And you can stop Malph's ult with Syndra e or Thresh's e, for that matter. So funny when you do that to them :)

    I prefer Malphite on top, because most mid laners are ranged and they can just harras him with basic attacks and spells, and he runs out of mana pretty fast early. When he is played as full AP his damage is strong but not that crazy, and we all know that he is played on top because of his CC and the tankiness he can offer to the team. So I'd say he can be played mid but you should avoid that in ranked games.
