    Please do not post info about private servers of MMORPGs. The threads will be deleted and repeat offenders will be banned. The only exception would be a game that is free and actually allows private servers.

    allowing and enforcing are diffrent things, they might not be alowd to have a private server, but theres almost no chance anyone will do anything about it SO LONG AS THEY DON'T EARN MONEY OFF OF IT. for example SCHTHACK runs a phantasy star online private server, but why does it not matter? because the offical server has been down for over 5 years (so i seriously doubt sega is going to come after them) and they dont charge anything, so its not hurting anyone :p

    a private server purpose is to host a game that already been hosted by a official company without permission.Private server are a like a easier version of the official game.That means you can level up faster than the official version.They are usually made by a people who have knowledge of programming knowledge.Private servers are illegal and the company that have the official version can sued them.In other words,private servers are bad!

    It's a privately hosted game server. They are usually illegal and should be avoided unless of course the game supports them.
