Out of the ones you listed, Catch-22 and To Kill a Mockingbird would probably be the two texts that everyone should read. However, my favourite is probably the Book Thief, the book uses its setting very well and Markus Zusak consistently has top notch work (Messenger etc.). As for what I would recommend to you, I am not sure what you would really like but based off your list I would say the following. For fiction I would probably recommend Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky (quite a philosophical read) and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson (amazing read but it does have some gruesome chapters).

Read To Kill a Mocking bird of those. Was a big reader of the James Clavel big novels for years like Taipan and Noble House.

  11. I enjoy reading books all the time. In fact, any sort of fiction, especially science fiction interests me. 1984 by George Orwell has to be one of the best dystopian novels I've read, especially since it demonstrates a scenario of what the government could do to society.

I like reading decently long novels. (About 2 - 4 hundred pages.) For some reason, they are always the best novels.

  17. I find myself using the Books app more for the iPhone, just because of convenience. Sometimes I need to reference some piece of information, so it's nice having a book on your phone. It's especially better than carrying the actual books, because it's less weight when it's on a phone.
