AQ3D olympics

Barely heard about it, and I'm assuming it's a community thing, though it would be neat to see Olympics-themed content in AQ3D one day like in 2020 for the Summer Olympics. I'll just stick to farming though.

AQ3D olympics? Never heard about that and that's because it's probably from somewhere where i am not checking like discord.

 

It's was a great idea at the start but it wasn't managed that well originally. The event I had to do was a last man standing game with Akriloth Exposed. It was just a horrible event in general. I didn't even know what I was doing until the second round and I was the Game Lead. There ended up being a round system that I didn't know about so things had to be altered during the game.
However, management has changed a little so it probably won't be as bad last season. However, I most likely won't be a Game Lead next season. I might just stick with writing up how to play the game.

 

There are a lot of factors into making a successful player-made event. Successful events generally bring a lot of awareness about an event, but most people never even heard about AQ3D Olympics, even through social media like Twitter or even in-game. Having a plan is also important, like how you want the event laid out; it's also important to let the audience know that so they know what to expect.

Besides, there's not a whole lot of players online these days except during holiday seasons like around Halloween, Christmas, and summertime, and the game is an on-going process, so there's not really a lot of challenges in-game right now unless you force that challenge by making one up.

 

These kinds of "sports" are being practiced? I didn't expect this, but i should have considering the lack of actual sports in AQ3D that have something more tied to it.

 

Hmm, interesting last-man standing olympics idea. I wouldn't mind participating in one.

It's not implemented in-game. AQ3D Olympics is community ran.
The example they gave is like a last man standing in akriloth extreme 2nd phase. People who die gets eliminated. Last person alive wins.

 

honestly seems like a waste of time. would be a waste of potions for the players with low amount of gold. i also dont see how it would be rewarding to win. but i guess it does bring the community together

 

Yes, it is community-driven. But I think the idea here is to not kill akriloth. Players simply run around the area so they don't die. Just try to avoid all of his attacks.

 

you just explained how the game works, which just made my thoughts for the idea worse. i would rather be farming rather than running around trying not to get hit by a boss

 

Not everyone wants to be productive and have fun instead.

 

I prefer morph race

 

Racing with travel forms/transformations does sound fun!

 

Never heard of it either... But sounds promising.
