Yup, of course. I remember when I was playing counter strike, it has to be dust, dust 2, or deathmatch. If it's any other, I usually suck since I'm not familiar with those.

For me no because there is no challange. Like for eg. If theres a map it dont like a real life shooting game. Than no map i will challange you more even better

Yes maps are very important, in every game I play there's maps I like/dislike and for example in a game like CoD everyone being able to vote on what map to go to before a match starts is a very good feature. I like simple maps with not much obstacles, one where I can remember details easily.
