    Most RPGs don't rely on AI, they rely on stat-advantage and/or static rules/sequences ...

    Have you encountered any RPG where the monsters really learned how to kill you?

    Not sure how you would classify AI since the modern form encompass some kind of "learning" based on weights. The majority of RPGs I play probably just utilize a state table of possible actions/sequences, and maybe few use some Monte Carlo simulation or probability model.
