    Hmmm... Good question. I would say "Wolfs among us","The walking dead(tale tale games)","The last of us","Heavy rain","The last of us: Left behind". Those are the best story games. I think assassins creed has a good story but it is not a story game. It is more action game. I didn't play mafia 2 so I can't say anything about it. World of Warcraft is a MMORPG game not a story game but it has a good lore. And GTA san andreas is an open world action game I think.
