    I really love Role playing games, but for some reason been hooked into some simulation game like FarmVille, Pocket tales and Hay Day atm :)

    Mobile games have stagnated lately. Would say 2009-2016 are the golden years of mobile with a large multitude of games from Temple Run to Jetpack Joyride to Subway Surfer, and lastly Pokemon Go in 2016.

    But in recent years, I haven't heard as much. There was Among Us in 2018 but that game didn't reach popularity until 2020, and also the PC version is far more popular than the mobile version. And then there's Genshin Impact in 2020, which is arguably one of the better modern open-world RPGs. And lastly, there's Tower of Fantasy in 2021, another fun RPG.

    Can't really say any other video game genres have peaked in popularity for mobile other than RPGs.
