Do you play multiplayer in Palworld?

The game has single player and it also has multiplayer. With multiplayer, you can play on any of the official servers (up to 32 players) or play on a dedicated server (that you or a friend sets up).

Do you mostly play single player, or do you play with friends or other players?

Personally, I like the multiplayer experience. Not so much the official servers which has lag issues, but more so dedicated servers that is set up. Multiplayer is one of the defining features that separates Palworld from other RPGs (notably from Pokemon which is single player). It also makes base building and catching pals fun, when playing along with friends. Single player is fun, too, but the progression kind of gets boring after level 35.

 

I'll also add that the game's guild feature really does make multiplayer mode fun. You can have up to 32 players, and I believe 4 players in a guild. When you're in a guild, you can do things together with your buddies like work together to build a base, raid dungeons and bosses, etc.

I'd be excited to see what Pocketpair comes up with when they introduce PvP. Maybe guilds versus guilds? Or maybe battle royale style PvP where players build up and collect gear then battle each other.
